Summary
- Fans are hopeful that Capitano may become a playable character based on leaks hinting at his potential inclusion.
- Despite previous rumors of Capitano's future demise, leaks suggest he may survive and join the roster in future updates.
A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed interesting details about Capitano, one of the most important characters in the Natlan arc. So far, Capitano has been portrayed as the main antagonist in the current Genshin Impact storyline, and he has already made multiple in-game appearances.
Capitano belongs to the Fatui Harbingers, extremely powerful high-ranking officers who work for the Tsaritsa, known as the leader of the Fatui organization, as well as the Archon of Snezhnaya. Over the last couple of months, many leakers have hinted at Capitano's potential to join the playable roster in the future.
Rumor: Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Model of Major Natlan Character
A new Genshin Impact leak reveals the model of an important Natlan character who might make an appearance in the upcoming update 5.3.
It's safe to say that, apart from the Archons, Harbingers are among the most popular characters in Genshin Impact. This is likely why the question of Capitano's playability is such a big topic among players, with many fans claiming that HoYoverse would be missing out by not adding him to the roster. Unfortunately for many, previous leaks have revealed that despite his popularity, Capitano might not appear on a banner anytime soon. However, a new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed that some upcoming updates contain Capitano-related files labeled "SkillObj," which are exclusive to playable characters.
Genshin Impact: Could Capitano Become a Playable Character in the Future?
This leak gives hope to many Capitano fans who had written him off as a playable unit since multiple leaks suggested that he might even die in one of the upcoming updates. This would not be the first time HoYoverse killed off a Harbinger; the famous La Signora was defeated by Genshin Impact's Electro Archon Raiden Shogun. However, La Signora is still part of the game and is featured as a Weekly Boss.
So far, Genshin Impact has introduced three Harbingers to the roster: Tartaglia, Wanderer, and Arlecchino. Wanderer, previously known as Scaramouche, made his first appearance back in 2020, and HoYoverse introduced him as a playable character in late 2022. Fans suspect that Capitano might receive similar treatment, provided he survives through the entire Natlan arc.
At the moment, there is not a lot of official information about Capitano other than that he is the First of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers in Genshin Impact, which hints at his immense power. However, Capitano himself revealed that he is currently in a weakened state as the curse of immortality has taken a toll on his body. Despite being considered a villain, Capitano is known for his righteousness and honor, which have previously prevented him from achieving victory in important battles.
