Kinich joins the Genshin Impact roster as a Dendro Claymore user, primarily serving as a main DPS with a focus on Dendro-reaction team compositions. As a DPS character, choosing the right weapon becomes crucial, as it has a notable impact on his overall damage output.

Genshin Impact: Best Weapons For Mualani

Mualani is a Catalyst user in Genshin Impact whose Skills scale with HP.

Fortunately, Kinich can utilize a variety of weapon options, both premium and more accessible, making his build flexible. While he benefits the most from top-tier 5-star Claymores, he can still perform effectively with several easily obtainable alternatives. Here are Kinich's best weapon options in Genshin Impact for optimizing his potential.

7 Ultimate Overlord’s Mega Magic Sword

Genshin Impact Kinich and Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword
  • Primary Stat: 565 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 30.6% Energy Recharge
  • R5 Effect: ATK increased by 24%. That's not all! The support from all Melusines you've helped in Merusea Village fills you with strength! Based on the number of them you've helped, your ATK is increased by up to an additional 24%.

The Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword, also known as the Melusine weapon, is a completely F2P option introduced during the version 4.3 update's flagship event. Unlike most weapons, which typically rely on combat or team composition-based conditions, this weapon grows stronger based on the number of times players have helped Melusines during their exploration of Fontaine. For Kinich, this weapon can be a solid choice as it offers a substantial ATK boost and Energy Recharge, a useful stat that enables him to activate his Elemental Burst more frequently, improving his overall DPS output and utility in battle.

6 Wolf’s Gravestone

Genshin Impact Kinich and Wolf's Gravestone
  • Primary Stat: 608 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 49.6% ATK
  • R1 Effect: Increases ATK by 20%. On hit, attacks against opponents with less than 30% HP increase all party members' ATK by 40% for 12s. Can only occur once every 30s.

Another solid weapon for Kinich is the Wolf's Gravestone, which excels at significantly boosting his ATK thanks to its secondary stat and passive effect. As a weapon available in the standard gacha pool, it's relatively more accessible compared to many limited-time premium options, while still providing excellent performance for a DPS build. The high ATK boost from Wolf's Gravestone allows players to focus more on Crit Rate and Crit DMG in artifact sub-stats, making it easier to optimize Kinich’s overall damage output without sacrificing too much on other key stats.

5 Earth Shaker

Genshin Impact Kinich and Earth Shaker
  • Primary Stat: 565 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 27.6% ATK
  • R5 Effect: After a party member triggers a Pyro-related reaction, the equipping character's Elemental Skill DMG is increased by 32% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even when the triggering party member is not on the field.

The forgeable Earth Shaker from Natlan is Kinich's best entirely F2P weapon option, especially at max refinement, though gathering the necessary materials for this forgeable weapon might take time. This claymore provides a notable ATK boost through its secondary stat, and its passive ability increases Kinich's Elemental Skill DMG—his primary damage source—when used in Burning or Burgeon teams. While this does limit his team composition somewhat, Earth Shaker can be a solid choice for players focusing on less conventional Dendro reactions, especially with support units like Emilie to help maximize its potential.

4 Verdict

Genshin Impact Kinich and Verdict
  • Primary Stat: 674 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 22% Crit Rate
  • R5 Effect: Increases ATK by 20%. When party members obtain Elemental Shards from Crystallize reactions, the equipping character will gain 1 Seal, increasing Elemental Skill DMG by 18%. The Seal lasts for 15s, and the equipper may have up to 2 Seals at once. All of the equipper's Seals will disappear 0.2s after their Elemental Skill deals DMG.
Genshin Impact Navia Best Weapon Guide
Genshin Impact: Best Weapons For Navia

Genshin Impact's Navia can make good use of a large variety of weapons.

Navia's signature weapon, Verdict, can also serve as a solid option for Kinich due to the overlap in their stat requirements, both benefiting from ATK and Crit Values while relying heavily on Elemental Skill DMG. Though Verdict has perfect synergy with Navia as a Geo character, its passive ability can still be useful for Kinich if a Geo character and at least one additional element are present in the team to trigger Crystallize reactions. Even though Dendro doesn’t interact directly with Geo, this setup allows Verdict's effect to be partially utilized for boosting Kinich's performance in mixed-element teams.

3 Serpent Spine

Genshin Impact Kinich and Serpent Spine
  • Primary Stat: 510 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 27.6% Crit Rate
  • R5 Effect: Every 4s a character is on the field, they will deal 6% more DMG and take 3% more DMG. This effect has a maximum of 5 stacks and will not be reset if the character leaves the field, but will be reduced by 1 stack when the character takes DMG.

Despite being a 4-star weapon, Serpent Spine surpasses many other options, ranking just below Kinich's signature weapon and another premium 5-star choice. Players who have consistently obtained and refined this weapon through the Battle Pass will find it highly effective for Kinich, provided they can minimize incoming damage. Since Kinich can stay on the field for extended periods without swapping, Serpent Spine's stacks accumulate quickly, boosting his damage output.

Additionally, its secondary stat, Crit Rate, is extremely valuable, allowing players to prioritize Crit DMG on artifact substats and the circlet. When paired with Obsidian Codex, this ensures a high level of Crit Rate while focusing heavily on damage output from Kinich’s Elemental Skill and Burst.

While newer Battle Pass weapons like Talking Stick can also work well on Kinich, if players need to choose between the two BP variants, Serpent Spine simply outperforms in a more versatile manner especially from a team composition perspective. It has a higher Crit Rate boost and stacking damage effect make it more reliable for sustained damage output.

2 Beacon of the Reed Sea

Genshin Impact Kinich and Beacon Of The Reed Sea
  • Primary Stat: 608 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 33.1% CRIT Rate
  • R1 Effect: After the character's Elemental Skill hits an opponent, their ATK will be increased by 20% for 8s. After the character takes DMG, their ATK will be increased by 20% for 8s. The 2 aforementioned effects can be triggered even when the character is not on the field. Additionally, when not protected by a shield, the character's Max HP will be increased by 32%.

Another weapon that perfectly suits Kinich is the Beacon of the Reed Sea, thanks to its high Crit Rate value and considerable ATK boost, which can reach up to 40% when players use his Elemental Skill and take damage—conditions that are easy to meet in Kinich's case. Additionally, the weapon offers an increase to Kinich's max HP if there isn't a shielder in the team, slightly enhancing his survivability.

Overall, Beacon of the Reed Sea ranks as one of the best options for Kinich, especially when considering both its potential damage output and the flexibility it offers in various team compositions, standing just behind his signature weapon.

1 Fang of the Mountain King

Genshin Impact Kinich and Fang of the Mountain King
  • Primary Stat: 740 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 11% CRIT Rate
  • R1 Effect: Gain 1 stack of Canopy's Favor after hitting an opponent with an Elemental Skill. This can be triggered once every 0.5s. After a nearby party member triggers a Burning or Burgeon reaction, the equipping character will gain 3 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 2s and can be triggered even when the triggering party member is off-field. Canopy's Favor: Elemental Skill and Burst DMG is increased by 10% for 6s. Max 6 stacks. Each stack is counted independently.

Being Kinich's signature weapon, Fang of the Mountain King is undeniably his best choice. Interestingly, compared to other options, this claymore boasts a high Base ATK but offers a relatively low Crit Rate, which can easily be offset by the Obsidian Codex set and some well-rolled sub-stats, making the lower Crit Rate less of a concern. This weapon also significantly boosts Elemental Skill DMG, especially when stacked in Burning or Burgeon teams, though it's not strictly necessary to run those reactions for optimal performance.

However, it’s worth noting that Fang of the Mountain King is quite niche, primarily benefiting Kinich. If players are not planning to heavily invest in Kinich as a primary DPS, it may be more prudent to save Primogems for future character banners instead of going all in on this specific weapon.
