Gaming is joining the Genshin Impact roster as the latest 4-star character with the version 4.4 update, allowing players to explore a unique playstyle that is not often utilized in the game. This is because Gaming is a character that focuses on plunge damage, which, while existing since the start of the game, has only been well utilized by characters like Xiao. With that being the case, especially if players are planning to obtain this character through the free 4-star character selector during this year's Lantern Rite event, they will be able to utilize a character that focuses on this mechanic in a free-to-play manner.
Genshin Impact: Best DPS Characters For Each Element & How To Use Them
Players looking for options to deal serious damage per second in Genshin Impact will want to choose these characters.
With Gaming particularly focusing on plunge damage and being a lower rarity character, players might be particularly wondering what build might work well for him, considering that he won't be receiving a tailor-made weapon or artifact set. Fortunately, however, while he may not have access to weapons or artifacts, particularly focusing on plunging damage, he can still make good use of many different options to their optimal potential, and become one of the best 4-star hypercarries in the game.

Gaming Best Artifact In Genshin Impact
Considering that Gaming's Elemental Skill provides HP drain, as well as HP gain if his passive talent is unlocked, combined with his Elemental Burst further helping with increasing his HP at certain quick intervals, Marechaussee Hunter can work excellently thanks to boosting his Crit Rate significantly, even though his plunging attack damage does not benefit from the 2-piece set bonus of this artifact set. Additionally, Crimson Witch of Flames is another competitive option, especially if players are utilizing Crit Rate secondary stat weapons, or simply have enough Crit rate through artifact stats, since Gaming has the potential to be an excellent Vaporize and Melt damage character in the right team composition.
Genshin Impact: Top 25 Support Characters And How To Use Them
DPS and healers might hog the limelight in Genshin Impact, but support characters are also important. Who are the best supports in the game?
If players don't have access to optimal artifacts from these sets, Vermillion Hereafter or Gilded Dreams can also work well to some extent. Ultimately, players should decide which one of these artifacts would be better for them based on their crit values through other means. In particular, if players have access to Gaming's sixth constellation and a crit rate weapon, Crimson Witch of Flames might work better than Marechaussee Hunter, since he will gain more than enough Crit Rate value.
Considering that Gaming does scale with ATK%, his optimal main and sub-stat requirements won't differ much from characters like Navia or Xiao, except for the Goblet. With that being the case, the best goblet option for Gaming is Pyro DMG Bonus, and the best circlet is Crit Rate / Crit DMG based on the current ratio and values players can provide for him. For the sands, however, players do have a few options, either ATK% or Elemental Mastery, if they are planning to particularly focus on Melt or Vaporize damage while having enough ATK value through other means (Wolf Gravestone, or having Bennett in the team, etc.) With that, a lot of the best stats or artifact sets for Gaming are a little more dependent on balancing out certain stats than some other characters, but luckily, through his own kit/constellations, he does gain additional stats to some extent.
For the substat priority, players are recommended to focus on Crit Rate / Crit DMG > ATK% = Elemental Mastery and lastly, Energy Recharge to be able to utilize his Elemental Burst as often as possible.
Gaming Best Weapon In Genshin Impact
As a hypercarry, Gaming can best utilize claymores that provide him Crit Damage and ATK, especially if players are going for the Marechaussee Hunter artifact set. However, Crit Rate, or even Elemental Mastery secondary stat weapons can still come in quite handy for those that are planning to equip the Crimson Witch Of Flames set. It is also worth noting that, while options like Redhorn Slasher or Verdict, Itto's and Navia's signature weapons respectively, can work well as stat sticks, they have been excluded from the list. Similarly, if players are in need of an entirely F2P option, Prototype Archaic can work even without any refinements since its passive effect isn't particularly useful for Gaming. With these options out of the list, Gaming can still very well utilize some other 5-star and 4-star options effectively.
Genshin Impact: Best Chevreuse Build Guide
Chevreuse is similar to Nilou in Genshin Impact as she's bound to only two Elements in her team, Pyro and Electro.
With all things considered, the best option for Gaming is Beacon of the Reed Sea, which not only increases his Crit DMG significantly but also will further increase his ATK for more damage output. If Gaming is not protected by a shield, he will also be buffed with more HP through this weapon, which can further help with his survivability, especially considering that he will be draining some HP through his Elemental Skill mechanic. However, if players are able to have access to well-optimized crit values and elemental mastery, Wolf's Gravestone will also work quite well. Otherwise, Serpent Spine with max refinement still might be a better option to consider.
Being a Liyue character, Gaming can also make use of options like Lithic Blade if players are planning to utilize other Liyue characters like Yelan, Xingqui, or Xianyun in their team compositions. Those that want to make the most out of elemental reactions can also consider options like Mailed Flower or Rainslasher. However, they will need to pay attention to building Crit values through artifacts and pay well attention to Hydro application of the team. Another 4-star stat stick option can be Blackcliff Slasher; however, like Rainslasher, it is a little situational and will not work well in instances where Gaming can't consistently defeat weaker enemies.
Gaming Talent Priority In Genshin Impact
Interestingly, while Gaming is a character that focuses on plunging attacks, his damage output doesn't come from the plunging attack that is under normal attacks since it has low modifiers. Instead, his primary source of damage is through his Elemental Skill, which counts as plunging damage. Through his Elemental Burst, Gaming will also be able to utilize the Elemental Skill's plunging attack by resetting its cooldown, while the Elemental Burst also has a good AoE DMG scaling upon activating that can be quite beneficial. With that considered, the priority for his skill leveling should be as follows:
- Elemental Skill
- Elemental Burst
- Normal Attack
