Arataki Itto is an Inazuman character in Genshin Impact. In the story, his vision was taken away from him, rendering him unplayable for several versions of the Inazuma arc update. However, with the abolition of the Vision Hunt Decree, those who have lost their vision can finally reunite with this gift from the gods.
The leader of the Arataki Gang wields the Geo Element. After obtaining his ambition back, Itto intends to have a rematch with Kujou Sara, the one who defeated him to confiscate his vision. For players who want the oni to be stronger than the tengu, here's how they should build Itto in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Tier List
Here's a Genshin Impact tier list to help players see who's in the meta and who isn't.
Updated on May 30, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah: The meta of Genshin Impact is ever-changing, but from his release until version 5.6, there's not much change in Arataki Itto's build in Genshin Impact. The oni only has a few additions to his best weapons, and one addition as his viable artifacts. Although not the top pick among the meta units, players who pull for Itto simply for his charm and humor can read on to understand how to use Itto in combat.

Itto converts his DEF to ATK, so while DEF is highly preferable, ATK is not useless for him.
Itto Best Artifact In Genshin Impact
There aren’t many artifact options for Itto build in Genshin Impact, but here are a few that players can use:
|
Artifact Set |
Overview |
|---|---|
|
Husk of Opulent Dreams |
The best-in-slot (BiS) set for Itto, but its domain has a low farming value as Ocean-Hued Clam is not a universal artifact. |
|
Desert Pavilion Chronicle |
Only use if a decent set is available. Its domain has a better farming value, so players can use unplanned pieces for the oni. However, don’t farm it specifically for Itto. |
|
Retracing Bolide |
The domain has the worst farming value compared to the rest, but Retracing Bolide is one of the best universal sets, where a lot of DPS can use it as long as there's a full-time shielder like Zhongli. However, the provided DPS is also lower than the BiS artifact, so only use it if there’s already a decent set. |
|
2pc Archaic Petra + 2pc Husk of Opulent Dreams |
A mix set with a lower value compared to the other options, but it's the easiest to get and has no conditions for its effects. |
Itto Best Weapon In Genshin Impact
Itto uses ATK to deal damage, but a large portion of his ATK is converted from DEF, so ATK-scaling 5-star weapons don't work effectively on Itto. Instead, 4-star Claymores like Serpent Spine, Whiteblind, and Blackcliff Slasher are better options for him. At R5, Whiteblind outperforms R1 Serpent Spine. So F2P players can really rely on this weapon for Itto.
Ineffa Team Composition Guide In Genshin Impact
Ineffa provides damage bonuses for Lunar-Charged reaction in Genshin Impact, so including Hydro characters in Ineffa team comps is highly recommended.
For 5-star options, Redhorn Stonethresher is Itto's best weapon. Its passive increases Itto’s Normal and Charged Attack DMG based on his DEF. Beacon of the Reed Sea is viable as a stat-stick thanks to its high Crit Rate sub-stat and decent ATK% bonus. Skyward Pride is also great for C0 Itto, where it allows Itto to quickly regain his Elemental Burst through its Energy Recharge sub-stat.
Arataki Itto won't deal much damage without his Geo Infusion. So, ensuring the availability of his Elemental Burst is crucial. His Burst requires 70 energy, which is pretty high when compared to other units. Luckily, Itto is a decent battery himself as his Ushi generates four Elemental Particles when summoned. But, even then, C0 Itto still needs battery support or Energy Recharge to maintain 100% Burst uptime.
Itto's Talent Overview In Genshin Impact
Itto is highly reliant on his Elemental Burst to deal damage. However, his most important multiplier exists in his Normal attacks.
Arataki Itto's Normal attacks are quite, well, normal. However, what makes them unique is his Charged attacks. If Itto has a Superlative Superstrength stack, his Charged attacks will be more powerful and won't consume stamina. Meanwhile, if he doesn't have any stacks, he will perform one slash. This is untraditional as Claymore units can usually perform combos for up to five seconds.
Ineffa Build In Genshin Impact
Ineffa may look like a support, but her Genshin Impact build is so offensive that she could be a main DPS, if not for her poor Normal Attack scalings.
There are several ways to get Itto's Superlative Superstrength stacks:
- Itto's second Normal attack (one stack)
- Itto's fourth Normal attack (two stacks)
- Elemental Skill hits an enemy (one stack)
- Elemental Skill got damaged (one stack)
- When Elemental Skill leaves the field (one stack)
- Itto's first Geo-infused Normal attack (one stack)
- Itto's third Geo-infused Normal attack (one stack)
With his Elemental Skill, Arataki Itto summons Ushi, a young bull of the Arataki Gang. This bull will taunt the enemies. Ushi is also considered a Geo construct. As for his Elemental Burst, Itto infuses his weapon with Geo and converts some of his DEF to ATK. In this state, Arataki Itto is more vulnerable to all damage.
Itto Talent Priority In Genshin Impact
Arataki Itto's talent priority in Genshin Impact is Normal Attack > Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill. Although his Elemental Skill doesn’t add anything to his Normal hits, Ushi still deals a ton of damage, which makes upgrading the bull highly worth it.
Itto Talent Level Recommendation
- Normal Attack: 10
- Elemental Skill: 10
- Elemental Burst: 10
