Recent information from the Genshin Impact beta servers reveals that Zhongli, Neuvillette, and Lyney will join Chasca on the Event Banners in Version 5.2. While the number of playable characters in Genshin Impact has quadrupled since its launch, the community has always hoped that the developers would find ways to rotate the Event Banners fairly. Most Genshin Impact players thought triple Banners would be inevitable, especially after the precedent of double Banners was established in Version 2.3.
Genshin Impact introduced the Chronicled Banner in Version 4.5. While it was a good way to feature several limited characters on a single, unified Banner, its implementation left a lot to be desired. Many players critiqued its short duration, its separate pity, and a lack of guarantee that it would ever return. As Genshin Impact continues to expand its roster, characters such as Shenhe, Ganyu, and Kokomi are left behind in favor of newer units introduced in Fontaine.
Genshin Impact's Sad Banner Trend Should Spark Big Changes to One Element
A recent trend in Genshin Impact’s character Wish banners highlights the need for a major change to the game’s character balancing.
Version 5.2 is set to debut Chasca and Ororon to Genshin Impact, with the former being a 5-Star Anemo Main DPS, and the latter being a 4-Star Electro Sub DPS. According to the recent datamine by HomDGCat, it would seem that the featured 5-Stars of Version 5.2 will be Chasca and Lyney during the first half, while Zhongli and Neuvillette will headline the second half. Curiously, the banner data also reveals that Ororon will be accompanied by Heizou and Fischl. In terms of 4-Star characters in Genshin Impact, Fischl will undoubtedly be a valuable pull, further amplified by a lack of Banner appearances since Version 4.1.

Given that Chasca and Lyney both wield the Bow, the accompanying Weapon Banner will likely be very desirable, as both The First Great Magic and Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage are powerful weapons, even for other characters such as Tighnari. On the other hand, the second half of the patch will feature two meta characters, with Neuvillette being one of the best hypercarries in the game, and Zhongli being the definition of a comfort pick. Since Genshin Impact is launching on Xbox during Version 5.2, it makes sense for HoYoverse to go with these two characters in particular.
The ability kit for Ororon in Genshin Impact grants buffs to the Electro-Charged playstyle, which implies that the developers will likely feature him on Neuvillette's Banner during the second half. While the Event Banners for Version 5.2 are strong, they come at the expense of other characters. Unlike Neuvillette, who is set to have his second rerun in Version 5.2, Wriothesley has been missing from the Banners since his debut in Version 4.1. Furthermore, it's been over 500 days since Shenhe and Ganyu had a Banner appearance, despite receiving premium outfits during Version 4.4. The developers will likely need to address the situation at some point, as Genshin Impact players once again urge the introduction of triple Banners.
