Summary
- Kamisato Ayato in Genshin Impact is a versatile Hydro character who can excel in multiple roles and teams, making him a valuable addition to any roster.
- It is best to use Ayato as a sub-DPS rather than a hyper-carry, as he synergizes well with all team members and provides maximum Hydro application.
- When building Ayato, prioritize stats like crit rate, crit damage, ATK, and a Hydro damage goblet, and consider using weapons like the Blackcliff or Black Sword for optimal performance. He can fit into various team compositions and is especially effective in teams that require a lot of Hydro application.
Genshin Impact has many Hydro units, each with their usages and niches, but Ayato is capable of excelling in numerous areas. Genshin Impact's commitment to making more teams viable allows characters like Ayato to fit into more teams. The more he can do, the more flexible he becomes, and then the better he is as a unit. For Genshin Impact's future, this pays off as well, since its characters can have many uses.
Genshin Impact's Kamisato Ayato is an excellent Hydro applicator and can even be used as a sub-DPS. While Main DPS Ayato is viable in some teams, it is best to not have players using him as a hyper-carry where the team revolves around him. Instead, he should synergize with each member of his team no matter the situation. Like this, players can get the most of the Hydro user.
Genshin Impact's Kamisato Ayato's Kit
Ayato's Build
When players begin to build the Hydro sword user, they should first know that Genshin Impact's Ayato's best builds will be the ones using the standard DPS sub-stats. Going for HP as a favorable sub-stat is also good, but players should not hold this above all other stats. HP offers a damage bonus for his skill, but it isn't the only stat he needs; crit rate, crit damage, ATK, and a Hydro damage goblet are all ideal for him. Depending on the intended use, players should prioritize his burst over his skill when it comes to leveling, but both should be brought up as high as the player can afford. His normal attack is usually on the back burner for some teams, but players should not leave it unleveled.
Ayato's best weapons are a little stricter than most. While he can use weapons like Favonius if there are no other options, it is best to give him crit or ATK for his weapons. His signature five-star is the obvious best choice. However, other swords like the Blackcliff and the battle pass' Black Sword are viable too.
Ayato's Teams
When it comes to pairing Ayato up with others, Kamisato Ayato's best team comps make good use of his burst's Hydro application. He can be used in numerous teams: a Dendro comp, a freeze comp, taser, etc. So long as the player needs a large amount of Hydro application off-field, Ayato is the one for the role. He can be used alongside characters like Ganyu, Fischl, Bennett, Venti, and so on. He is highly flexible and can do his job exceptionally well.
Kamisato Ayato can even fit in the national comp alongside Genshin Impact's Bennett, Xiangling, and Xingqiu. If players find there is too much Hydro on the fieldwith Xingqiu, Sucrose is always a wonderful substitute. Playing like this does not make him the main DPS, however; it's rather like his application benefits Xiangling making her the "DPS" of the team.
Ayato's Constellations
For wealthier players who've been saving up for him or have the Primogems to spare, considering Ayato's most important constellations could prove useful. His most useful constellations are the following:
- C1: Shunsuiken DMG is increased by 40% against opponents with 50% HP or less.
- C4: After using Kamisato Art: Suiyuu, all nearby party members will have 15% increased Normal Attack SPD for 15s.
- C6: After using Kamisato Art: Kyouka, Ayato's next Shunsuiken attack will create 2 extra Shunsuiken strikes when they hit opponents, each one dealing 450% of Ayato's ATK as DMG. These Shunsuiken attacks will not be affected by Namisen.
