Similar to the Ruin Guards in Genshin Impact, the Avatars of Lava are also creations that lost their purpose due to their original civilization reaching extinction and destruction. Today, of course, "brave" Travelers will hunt the creatures down in the hope of getting their core.
Avatars of Lava cores are said to emit a considerable amount of heat, despite the creature being far from its former glory. As a creation of an ancient civilization, it's no surprise that there aren't many Avatars of Lava locations in Genshin Impact.

Avatars of Lava Locations In Genshin Impact
There are more than 10 Avatars of Lava locations on Genshin Impact Natlan's map. This foe is usually curled up and looks a lot like a rock, so players may need to approach them to make them stand, or use Elemental Sight to spot the Lava creatures.
Avatars of Lava Farming Route In Genshin Impact
There are three Avatars of Lava locations to visit on the first farming route:
- Use the Teleport Waypoint southwest of Huitztli Hill, then head northeast, down the cliff, between the two elevated lands.
- Head southeast along the same narrow passageway to spot the second Avatars of Lava.
- Go to the Waypoint north of the Sulfurous Veins, then run south, gliding down to the slightly-lower land. Don't glide down too far.
Once done with the first Avatars of Lava farming route, head to the southern side to find six Avatars of Lava in four spots:
- Go to Natlan's Talent material domain, then head up the cliff to the southeast to find two Avatars of Lava.
- Glide down southeast, passing through the crater where players can trigger the To Wish Upon a Star quest in Genshin Impact until you reach two Avatars of Lava near the end of the area.
- Use the Waypoint southwest or southeast of the Ancestral Temple, then head to the shore to the southeast/southwest.
- Go northwest up the cliff to the fourth spot. Alternatively, players can visit this spot first, and then head to the shore.
For the final Avatars of Lava locations, go to the Waypoint north of Obsidian Codex's Artifact domain. Near the domain, players can open the gate that requires two Key to Somewhere in Genshin Impact, so give it a visit if players haven't gone there yet.
- From the Waypoint northeast of the Artifact domain, head northeast.
- Use the Statue of the Seven south of Scions of the Canopy, then go south.
Avatars of Lava Drops In Genshin Impact
Avatars of Lava in Genshin Impact provide the following materials from their drop:
- Ignited Stone
- Ignited Seed of Life
- Ignited Seeing Eye
Since this creature is considered an Elite enemy in Genshin Impact, their drops are only used for weapon enhancements, and not character ascensions. For instance, the forgeable weapon, Earth Shaker, needs these drops to fully upgrade.
