You will stumble upon many secrets while exploring Atocpan in Genshin Impact, and one of them is what looks like a broken secret source dragon idol. Secrets will usually lead players into hidden areas where they will obtain precious or luxurious chests, as well as achievements in some cases.
A Lonely Sentinel achievement is not related to any quest in Genshin Impact, but you do have to complete a task while following the secret source dragon idol. Some parts will be tricky as travelers will navigate an underground cave filled with lava, so think wisely before making any move.

How To Get A Lonely Sentinel Achievement In Genshin Impact
Just east of the Collective of Plenty clan location in Atocpan, there's a teleport waypoint near a dirt path. Travel to it and head east towards the pool of lava to see a secret source dragon idol lying still in the lava. There are a couple of Hilichurl around it protecting a remarkable chest. Upon approaching the dragon and shooting the barrel next to it, it will come to life and break through the nearby rocks to reveal a hidden entrance to a cave.
Follow it deep inside the cave until you eventually activate a teleport waypoint. As there is lava everywhere, and there is no way to proceed. At this time, the dragon idol approaches you with a common chest. Hop onto its body, and let it take you to the next safe spot. After dropping you off, the dragon will reappear with an exquisite chest but will stand far away from you.
To reach it, head south and climb the slope to get to the higher platform. Jump onto its body again to get the chest, and then jump to safety once the dragon retreats.
For the third time, the dragon will come near the same platform but with a mechanism. Climb the head-shaped statue and activate it to turn all the lava into solid rock. Use the nearby Tatankasaurus transformation and charge attack to destroy some of them and reveal a path down. Keep smashing the rocks until the serpent is visible. The secret source dragon idol will then unblock a path to the left and wait for you in front of the barrier.
Head to the newly opened path and touch the golden seal to remove the barrier and free the secret source servant imprisoned inside. You will get a luxurious chest as a reward. Take it and read the note next to the servant to proceed. Hop onto the dragon to be taken to the higher level of the cave, where players will get the A Lonely Sentinel achievement. Finally, use the newly spawned wind current to fly outside the cave and end the hidden quest.
