Summary

  • New Genshin Impact mode Tumult Subduer has 5 difficulty levels and offers valuable rewards.
  • The mode allows customization of teams for each phase, requires Resin to claim rewards, and features new character Skirk.
  • Fans anticipate the arrival of Version 5.7 in mid-June and express mixed feelings about Resin system tie-ins.

A Genshin Impact leak has revealed in-game footage featuring a new game mode that has previously been referred to as the "new Spiral Abyss." This unique Genshin Impact domain is considered the most difficult part of the endgame, as it challenges players to fight through 12 different floors, each harder than the last.

Since Genshin Impact was released in September 2020, one of the main complaints from players has been the lack of permanent content. However, over the past couple of years, HoYoverse has steadily added more permanent modes, such as Genius Invokation TCG and the Imaginarium Theater. Now, it seems that the release of a new game mode is on the horizon.

A post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed gameplay footage of a new mode named Tumult Subduer. According to the footage, the domain entrance will be located in Mingyun Village, west of the Dragonspine region. This means that even players who haven't unlocked any of the last four released regions will likely still be able to access the mode. The new domain will feature five difficulty levels: Normal, Hard, Fearless, Extreme, and Mortal. To unlock Mortal, players will need to complete Tumult Subduer on Fearless difficulty. Defeating each level will grant valuable Genshin Impact rewards, including Primogems. Previous leaks have also suggested that completing the domain on a higher difficulty will give cumulative rewards from all lower levels.

New Genshin Impact Game Mode Explained

Each difficulty features three phases with different enemies. Players can customize their Genshin Impact team compositions for each phase, and a small indicator shows which elements are most effective against the enemies. This means that players will need a diverse roster of at least 12 characters to fill all team slots. The footage also revealed that, while the phases are labeled 1 through 3, they can be completed in any order.

After completing each phase, a Ley Line Blossom will appear, and players will need to spend Resin to collect rewards. Using Transient Resin will allow players to claim triple the usual rewards. Overall, fans seem excited about the arrival of a new game mode in Genshin Impact, although many are disappointed that it is tied to the game's Resin system.

The video also shows that the player's Phase 3 team includes the new five-star character Skirk, who is expected to debut in the next update. According to HoYoverse's usual schedule, Genshin Impact Version 5.7 is set to arrive around mid-June.
