A recent leak from a reliable source in the Genshin Impact community has revealed that Version 6.1 will mark the debut of Nefer, a 5-Star Dendro Catalyst whose kit will completely overhaul Dendro Cores. While the Nod-Krai era is yet to begin in earnest, Genshin Impact is slowly setting the stage for Lunar Reactions – the main combat mechanic of the new region. Lunar-Charged was introduced with Ineffa in Version 5.8, and now Version 6.0 is set to introduce Lunar-Bloom with the debut of Lauma.
As a 5-Star Dendro Catalyst, Lauma can best be described as a support character in Genshin Impact who specializes in two branches: either by buffing Lunar-Bloom for Nod-Krai teams or by buffing Bloom for Dendro teams. This makes her an incredibly valuable support, as she synergizes with hypercarries such as Nilou, Neuvillette, and the upcoming Nefer.
Genshin Impact Gives Free Primogems With New Event and Code
Genshin Impact players can obtain a decent number of Primogems through a new web event, as well as by redeeming a new set of promotional codes.
Genshin Impact Could Be Releasing Nefer in Version 6.1
According to Uncle Kokomi, a source who has accrued respectable credibility in 2025, Nefer will be a 5-Star Dendro Catalyst with a focus on the Lunar-Bloom reaction. Given that they share the element and weapon type, what sets Nefer apart from Lauma in Genshin Impact is that she will be a dedicated Lunar-Bloom hypercarry. As such, her synergy with Lauma is obvious – either Lauma will partner up with Nefer to buff her Lunar-Bloom damage, or remain with older hypercarries as the sole Nod-Krai character.
However, there is one controversial aspect of Nefer's presumed ability kit that players should keep in mind. Nefer will prevent the creation of Dendro Cores, which will effectively close her off from any existing Bloom, Burgeon, and Hyperbloom teams in Genshin Impact. Much like Lauma, Nefer will collect Verdant Dews by triggering Bloom, spending it with her Elemental Skill. This appears to be the real mechanic that separates Lunar-Bloom from the original Bloom, turning it from an Area-of-Effect reaction to a Single Target reaction.
If one were to assume the Nod-Krai roadmap for Genshin Impact characters is correct, then Nefer will be the sole debut of Version 6.1. Players will be able to stock up on a considerable number of Primogems during Version 6.0, and assuming they skip the Sumeru Chronicled Banner, they should have enough Intertwined Wishes to guarantee Nefer. Barring no surprises, Nefer and Lauma will likely be the sole Dendro characters in Nod-Krai. If this playstyle appeals to fans, they should try to obtain both 5-Stars ahead of Columbina, who is speculated to be a Hydro support for Nod-Krai teams.
