Genshin Impact’s version 5.2 update is expected to release on November 20, 2024. Ahead of the official Special Program livestream, there have already been plenty of leaks about this upcoming update, including a few confirmed features. This update will coincide with Genshin Impact’s release on Xbox platforms and will bring another chapter in the Natlan region’s ongoing story, new QoL features, more Natlan characters, and several other game changes.
After the Archon questline from Genshin Impact’s version 5.1 update, version 5.2 will have a tough act to follow. However, recent leaks and rumors suggest that this update will be worth the wait due to the variety of improvements it will bring to the game.

Genshin Impact’s 5.2 Map Expansion Leaks
Genshin Impact’s Natlan region is believed to expand to the Northwest in the 5.2 update, beyond the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. Part of this new area is said to be home to Natlan’s Masters of the Night Wind Tribe, as well as two new Saurians with flying exploration abilities and a new variety of enemies. Other notable locations expected to come in Genshin Impact’s 5.2 map expansion include the Warped Branch Cliff, Mirror Wall Mountain, and Ochkanatlan.
Genshin Impact’s 5.2 Event Wish Banner Characters Leaks

Ororon is widely believed to be a 4-star character, but this has yet to be confirmed.
So far, Chasca and Ororon have already been confirmed to make an appearance in the version 5.2 Event Wish Banners. However, beyond this, there is a lot of debate surrounding which other characters will be featured throughout this update due to some of the latest leaks presenting conflicting information. One of the most popular rumors currently is that the Event Wish Banners for the 5.2 update will feature a rerun of a playable Archon character. Some leaks suggest this will be Venti, while others claim it will be Zhongli.
Aside from the conflicting leaks, it’s also worth mentioning that there are plenty of characters on Genshin Impact’s character rerun waiting list who fans have been dying to see, like Shenhe, Ganyu, Kokomi, Tartaglia, and Wriothesley, who may make a surprise appearance in the 5.2 Event Wish Banners.
Genshin Impact’s 5.2 Elemental Reaction Buff Leaks
- Superconduct (Cryo and Electro) 200% damage increase
- Shatter (Cryo and Hydro, followed by a Geo or heavy attack) 100% damage increase
- Electro-Charged (Electro and Hydro) 66.7% damage increase
- Overload (Electro and Pyro) 37.5% damage increase
According to multiple leaks, certain Elemental reactions will receive buffs in Genshin Impact’s 5.2 update. These buffs are great news considering that many fans have recently been calling for improvements to Genshin Impact’s Cryo Element. However, while these buffs will allegedly provide a flat upgrade to the damage dealt by these Elemental reactions, this is only a small fix to a much larger issue with the Cryo Element, being that certain bosses and major enemy types are immune to the Freeze Elemental reaction. Still though, these buffs are a step in the right direction.
Leaked Features Coming in Genshin Impact’s 5.2 Update
- All platforms will support cross-play with Genshin Impact’s release on Xbox platforms.
- Artifacts can be marked as favorites.
- Natlan region’s Fishing Association will become available.
- Players can set custom rules to automatically lock newly acquired Artifacts that contain desired stats, attributes, or both.
- Regional exploration Equipment (Treasure Compasses and Oculus Resonance Stones) can be set to automatically swap to match the region the player is currently exploring.
- Treasure Compasses will show open-world challenges and Seelie.
