Summary
- A chart ranking Genshin Impact's four-star characters by their appearances on limited banners reveals Bennett as the most powerful and featured character, with 10 appearances.
- Some four-star characters, like Faruzan and Layla, have only had one re-run despite being part of the roster for over a year, leading to player dissatisfaction.
- While fans are divided on the distribution of four-star characters in banners, many appreciate the versatility of these characters in different team compositions, such as the popular National Team.
A Genshin Impact chart ranks the game's four-star characters by the number of appearances they had on the game's limited banner. Each new update features two separate banner cycles, each containing one or two five-star characters and three four-star units that can be acquired for a limited time.
Unlike five-star units that run on a 90-wish pity, Genshin Impact's four-star characters are much easier to acquire since players are guaranteed a drop within 10 wishes. This also makes it much easier to build up the constellation levels for these characters, which has a huge impact on their overall power on the field.
A Reddit user by the name of APerson567i has revealed a chart that shows how many times each four-star character was featured on the Limited Character Banner. At the top of the list with 10 appearances sits the famous Pyro sword user Bennett, who's widely regarded as the most powerful four-star character in the game. Many players even suspect that if he hadn't been released so early on when the meta was not determined yet, he would've probably ended up being a five-star character thanks to a stacked kit. His Elemental Burst, Fantastic Voyage is a game-changer for many types of team compositions as it allows Bennett to deploy a large AoE that deals damage and also applies massive healing to every party member within the composition.
The second place is shared between five characters: Sucrose, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Diona, and Barbara, all of whom made 9 banner appearances. Many comments have pointed out that some characters deserve to get a re-run more frequently. For example, characters like Faruzan and Layla only had one re-run after their release, despite being part of the roster for over a year.
The four-star Dendro user Kaveh is another example, and he is yet to get a re-run despite being released back in May 2023. Some fans have pointed out that Inazuma's bow user Sara seems to only appear on a banner when the Electro Archon Raiden Shogun is one of the limited five-star units.
While many fans don't seem too happy about the way HoYoverse distributes their four-stars between banners, some have praised the game for making these characters viable in many different team compositions. For example, the National Team is one of the most popular party types in the community, and it consists mostly of four-star characters like Bennett, Xiangling, and Xingqiu.
