Genshin Impact 3.8 Livestream Summary

A first look at Fontaine was released in Genshin Impact 3.8 livestream, and while it’s not entirely a surprise, it’s still a pleasant teaser. Other than the upcoming land of justice, Genshin Impact 3.8 will also bring an entirely new limited area similar to the Golden Apple Archipelago. Still revolving around Klee and Alice and their summer adventure, players soon can explore the mysterious Bottleland.

Re-run Characters Banners: Eula and Klee

As there are no new characters for the next version, Genshin Impact 3.8 livestream reveals four re-runs instead. The first half will feature Eula and Klee.

Re-run Characters Banners: Kokomi and Wanderer

The second half of Genshin Impact 3.8 will bring back Kokomi and Wanderer.

New Hangout Event: Kaeya

One new Genshin Impact Hangout Event will also be released in version 3.8. This time, players can go spend their time with the Cavalry Captain, Kaeya.

New Outfit: Kaeya and Klee

Other than a Hangout Event for himself, Kaeya will also get a new outfit. Like any other 4-star outfit, players can get this skin for free by participating in the Genshin Impact 3.8 limited event.

The little mage Klee will also have a brand-new outfit. For this one, however, players will have to spend their Genesis Crystals.

New Limited Area: Bottleland

The main event of Genshin Impact 3.8 is the Secret Summer Paradise. As always, this is set to be this year’s summer event. However, unlike how the previous years feature the Golden Apple Archipelago, 2023 will come with a land inside a bottle, the Bottleland.

Players can explore the new limited area where they can collect items and ride a Choo-Choo Cart with a track that seems to be set all over Bottleland. There are also many sub-events like Spino Blaster, a mini-game where Travelers have to shoot a bunch of balloons to earn Primogems; Sojourns of the Barking Fox, a mini-game where players have to control a Barking Fox and reach the destination within the time limit; Dance of Flashing Thought, a typical combat game with minor twists; and Bing-Bang Finchball where Travelers have to shoot a bunch of Finchballs into a couple of highlighted zones.

New TCG Content

Three new TCG character cards can be obtained in Genshin Impact 3.8; Candace, Yanfei, and Kazuha. There’ll also be another set of the Forge Realm’s Temper event where players can test their skill and challenge difficult foes to get some extra Lucky Coins.

Fontaine Preview

Fontaine preview is undoubtedly the most exciting part of this livestream. Players are given a first look at the Land of Justice, its architecture, a character they will meet, and, most importantly, an underwater exploration feature. There are no further details of how the underwater area will work, but it surely will be a great addition to the game, especially considering the water area in Genshin Impact is rather empty and boring.
