On each version of Genshin Impact, there are some Spiral Abyss challenges to face. This challenge resets on the 1st and 16th of each month, so a 6-week version would typically have three Spiral Abyss. Considering each challenge grant a whopping 600 Primogems upon perfect completion, players can easily get 1800 Primogems on every version by completing the Spiral Abyss.

However, as the game goes on and players get stronger, Genshin Impact Spiral Abyss slowly becomes harder too. Because of this, Travelers either have to keep up with the meta or understand the mechanic of the game and find some tricks to defeat the enemies. For phase one of Genshin Impact 3.4 Spiral Abyss, here's what players should keep in mind and some sample teams that can be tweaked.

Spiral Abyss 3.4 Phase 1 Blessing

  • Triggering Quicken will shred enemies’ Dendro and Electro resistance by 30%. This effect will be removed two seconds after the Quickened state ends.

This effect grants Dendro and Electro units a decent buff in this Spiral Abyss. Just remember that Quicken can be removed with Pyro or Hydro, so it's best to not bring those Elements into a Quicken team.

Spiral Abyss Floor 9

floor 9 of spiral abyss in genshin impact

The Ley Line Disorder of F9 revolves around teams that trigger Bloom. This Genshin Impact reaction occurs when Hydro meets Dendro or vice versa. For this phase, Hydro won’t ruin the Dendro and Electro Synergy since the shredding effect remains active two seconds after the Quicken state is over. So players can still take advantage of both reactions as long as they set up a team that can constantly trigger them.

Sample Team

  • First Half:
    • Raiden Shogun + Nahida + Xingqiu + Yaoyao
    • Wanderer + Xiangling + Layla + Bennett
  • Second Half:
    • Nilou + Nahida + Yaoyao + Ayato
    • Hu Tao + Xingqiu + Yelan + Diona

Chamber 1

spiral abyss floor 9 chamber 1 in genshin impact
  • First and Second Halves: This chamber contains enemies that perform some silly weak attacks. The time needed to clear this stage is also generous, so players can finish it with ease. It only may possess an issue for players that entered with underdeveloped units without building them correctly.

Chamber 2

spiral abyss floor 9 chamber 2 in genshin impact
  • First and Second Halves: Just like the first chamber, these rooms also contain some of the weakest monsters. However, there are some Slimes inside the second room that may be a problem if players didn’t have diversity in their team building. Remember to bring an Element that can counter the Abyss Mage too. For Hydro shield, the best counter would be Dendro, but Cryo works decently as well.

Chamber 3

spiral abyss floor 9 chamber 3 in genshin impact
  • First Half: The good news is that Shrooms and Fungi are easy to deal with, while the bad news is that they spawn separately with some decent distance between them. Players must run around to hunt them down, so picking Genshin Impact characters that don’t rely on Stamina might help clear this room faster. A crowd controller like Venti will also come in handy.
  • Second Half: The three Eremites are the only enemies inside this room. To make it even better, they spawn next to each other, which makes collecting them with Anemo skills or damaging them with Bloom even better.

Spiral Abyss Floor 10

floor 10 of spiral abyss in genshin impact

The Ley Line Disorder on floor 10 is the perfect gift for this Spiral Abyss phase. Having Spread and Aggravate reactions buffed with 75% extra DMG alongside Quicken’s shredding is a lot of DMG. For this floor, focusing on Electro and Dendro unit in Genshin Impact is recommended to clear it with ease.

Sample Team

  • First Half:
    • Alhaitham + Beidou + Fischl + Yaoyao
    • Tighnari + Raiden Shogun + Dendro Traveler + Kuki Shinobu
    • Cyno + Dendro Traveler + Yaoyao + Yun Jin
  • Second Half:
    • Ayaka + Xiangling + Kazuha + Bennett
    • Hu Tao + Xingqiu + Yelan + Zhongli
    • Ganyu + Venti + Mona + Shenhe

Chamber 1

spiral abyss floor 10 chamber 1 in genshin impact
  • First Half: The first half of chamber 1 contains some Electro Slimes. Players must not go all out on Electro characters in Genshin Impact since it’s impossible to finish with only Electro units. Everything else should be easy.
  • Second Half: Primordial Bathysmal Vishaps move and attack without rest. That makes it hard for players to hit them both at the same time. However, they still can be controlled by Anemo attacks or freeze reactions, which will make killing them both at the same time an easier task.

Chamber 2

spiral abyss floor 10 chamber 2 in genshin impact
  • First Half: The two Kairagi in this chamber must fall together. Only killing one Kairagi will cause the other to enter a frenzied state, which allows them to recover all HP, enhance their max HP, and have stronger attacks. After taking them down, players can focus on the rest of the smaller enemies.
  • Second Half: An Electro Abyss Mage and Thunderhelm Lawachurl are going to be hard to kill with Electro DPS. The best way to deal with them is by having a team with Cryo or Pyro DPS like Ayaka, Ganyu, Xiangling, or Hu Tao in Genshin Impact. Still, players can run a Dendro DPS through them if the character is strong enough like Alhaitham or Tighnari.

Chamber 3

spiral abyss floor 10 chamber 3 in genshin impact
  • First Half: The last chamber’s first half has some Eremites and Fatui scattered around its arena. Take note that the Hydrogunner and Pyroslinger Fatui needs to go down before they summon their shields, or else players have to enter this floor with Dendro, Cryo, and Hydro units to remove them.
  • Second Half: The Mirror Maiden combo with the two Fatui Electro Cicin Mages can be deadly if players weren’t careful. The Mirror Maiden has the ability to CC characters in one place while the Cicin Mages would rain Electro attacks on their heads. It’s best to deal with the Mirror Maiden first before going to the Cicin Mages.

Spiral Abyss Floor 11

floor 11 of spiral abyss in genshin impact

This is a perfect haven for Dendro characters in Genshin Impact. The power of a 75% extra Dendro DMG bonus can be insane in the hands of the right characters. However, this floor is not that easy. To finish it swiftly there are a few important notes to take:

  1. The first half of all three chambers contains many controllable enemies. So, having an Anemo Support like Kazuha, Venti, or even Sucrose can greatly ease the time players spend in the first half.
  2. The first half of chamber 3 has Electro, Hydro, and Pyro Slimes, which makes Anemo character a great unit to have.
  3. The second half of chamber 2 has a Hydro Abyss Herald alongside a Consecrated Flying Serpent. Hydro shield is best broken with Dendro, but Cryo is also decent. Meanwhile,
  4. Be aware of the Electro Regisvine in the third chamber. Bring units that can finish it swiftly.

Sample Team

  • First Half:
    • Venti + Ayaka + Mona + Diona
    • Ningguang + Zhongli + Venti + Fischl
  • Second Half:
    • Ganyu + Kokomi + Shenhe + Kazuha
    • Nahida + Tighnari + Raiden Shogun + Zhongli

Chamber 1

spiral abyss floor 11 chamber 1 in genshin impact
  • First Half: Eremites and Treasure Hoarders can be all collected by Anemo characters in Genshin Impact. So, having Venti or Kazuha can be a great help to defend the Domain Monolith.
  • Second Half: Three Mitachurls and one Lawachurl may look big and grumpy, but they’re actually effortless to defeat. The only issue here is that they will target the Monolith and not the active characters. To deal with that, swiftly defeat the Mitachurls and move away from the Monolith to stay near the Lawachurl and take its attention away from the actual target.

Monolith Defense comes without a timer, so players can lure the enemies away from the Monolith and defeat them slowly. It's a great idea to ensure the fight ends with all characters having their Burst filled.

Chamber 2

spiral abyss floor 11 chamber 2 in genshin impact
  • First Half: This chamber starts with four Vishaps, followed by four Shrooms when the former is defeated. Start by collecting all the Vishaps together, then unleash a devastating Burst on them. After defeating them, repeat the same rotation against the Shrooms. Players can use strong Burst users like Ayaka, Childe, Hu Tao, and Raiden Shogun.
  • Second Half: An Abyss Herald is a problem in any floor or chamber in Genshin Impact. To deal with its shield, players can have a Dendro character like Nahida, Tighnari, and Yaoyao, or a Cryo unit like Ganyu and Ayaka to keep the Herald frozen most of the time. The Consecrated Flying Serpent will appear after the Abyss Herald's demise.

Chamber 3

spiral abyss floor 11 chamber 3 in genshin impact
  • First Half: This chamber starts with many Slimes jumping at the active character. Players must make sure they have a diverse DMG type to be able to defeat each one of these Slimes, or an Anemo to Swirl all Elements together. After beating the Slimes, a wave of Kairagi and Nobushi spawns after. As mentioned before, deal with the Kairagi first then finish the rest after.
  • Second Half: The Electro Regisvine in Genshin Impact is not an easy boss to defeat, but with the right team, players complete the job on time. Cryo, Pyro, and Dendro are the best Elements to use. Note that at first, the boss' core will be located on its head, so players need a ranged character to reach it. Because of this, the best options for this boss would be Ganyu, Tighnari, and Yoimiya. After the core moves to its root, however, melee DPS would work just fine.

Spiral Abyss Floor 12

floor 12 of spiral abyss in genshin impact

The Maguu Kenki trio make their way back into the Spiral Abyss in this Genshin Impact 3.4 alongside many new changes to the 12th floor. In this version, there’s a boss fight in the third chamber, forcing players to operate a Quicken team in the first half of this floor. However, taking into consideration that this version of Spiral Abyss enhances Quicken team, this isn't much of an issue.

  • First Half:
    • Alhaitham + Nahida + Kuki Shinobu + Beidou
    • Raiden Shogun + Nahida + Kazuha + Yaoyao
    • Tighnari + Fischl + Yae Miko + Zhongli
    • Hu Tao + Yelan + Xingqiu + Zhongli
  • Second Half:
    • Nahida + Nilou + Ayato + Yaoyao
    • Xiao + C6 Faruzan + Xiangling + Bennett
    • Hu Tao + Kazuha + Thoma + Xingqiu
    • Ganyu + Venti + Kokomi + Shenhe

Chamber 1

spiral abyss floor 12 chamber 1 in genshin impact
  • First Half: The Automatons in this chamber can be really annoying, considering they spawn one after another, denying players the opportunity to AoE them. The best way to defeat them is to use units that have high single-target DMG dealers like Tighnari or Hu Tao.
  • Second Half: Since the enemies will automatically gather around the active character sooner or later, the best way to win this half is by operating strong AoE teams like Bloom teams. Anemo users like Kazuha, Venti, or Xiao are also a strong choice since they can quickly clear the Abyss Mages’ shields.

Chamber 2

spiral abyss floor 12 chamber 2 in genshin impact
  • First Half: Chamber 2 starts with one Kairagi and two Nobushi. This time, the Kairagi is over-leveled, so it’s much harder to take down quickly. After that, two Consecrated Beasts will spawn, and they’re really hard to defeat. A hard-hitting single-target unit paired with the power of Quicken reactions in this Spiral Abyss should be able to handle all these enemies. Remember to bring a shielder or healer as these enemies hit really hard.
  • Second Half: The Maguu Kenki trio is self-explanatory. Lots of HP, lots of DMG, and lots of chaos. Just like the first chamber, AoE is the way to go here. Players also need a Genshin Impact shielder that can increase resistance to interruption and help the team survive all the incoming DMG.

Chamber 3

spiral abyss floor 12 chamber 3 in genshin impact
  • First Half: The Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network in Genshin Impact is weak to Quicken, which is why players should run a Quicken team in the first half.
  • Second Half: Players should not be tricked into thinking these Eremites are strong at all. Given their insanely high level, their HP pool is massive, and they will tank a crazy amount of DMG. Some of these Eremites will also summon many familiars, which makes the battlefield rather chaotic. To cheese the fight, players can either control them with Anemo or Freeze them.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
