10 Hilarious Comedy Sci-Fi Games You Can Play On The PlayStation 5

Sci-Fi fans will love these hilarious games that are playable on PlayStation 5.

Moreover, companies such as Sony have made some great features to enhance the flavor of their games. One such add-on is the adaptive triggers in PlayStation 5, which make the already realistic games more lifelike. Many PS5 titles utilize this technology optimally, which makes for a more immersive experience indeed. These PS5 adaptive triggers can change the way players interact with these titles in the eyes of many, with some games being better at utilizing the strength of the DualSense controllers than others.

Updated on February 7, 2025, by Mehrdad Khayyat: Aside from a big technological leap in the core hardware to run games better and faster than its predecessors, PlayStation 5 also introduced a new dimension to gaming with the DualSense controllers and the haptic feedback triggers.

While many games let the player see or do things they would love to, the player would barely feel the game's universe, and haptic feedback goes after that! Allowing players to feel what it's like to pull a trigger, chop down a tree, or drive a car.

Wreckfest is one of the best driving games players can check out if they want to check out something new. Sure, there are regular races in the game, but it's the vehicular combat of this title that makes it such a blast to play through. Players must strategize and take out opposing racers while ensuring that their car remains safe and sound.

This is easier said than done, but the game's excellent feedback model ensures that players are acutely aware of the damage their car is incurring. The game does a great job of integrating the PS5's adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, letting players feel every bump in the road and the impact of two cars coming together in a massive collision.

There's no denying that Watch Dogs: Legion has its fair share of issues that make it a hard title to recommend. However, players willing to give this title a shot will love the unique structure of hunting down and recruiting any operative they want to wreak havoc in London. Trying to take down Albion's ruthless security forces is a blast time and time again.

What makes the gameplay more immersive is the use of the PS5's adaptive triggers to make the shooting feel as immersive as ever. The triggers react differently to each weapon, with other actions being augmented by the tension players feel when trying to press down the buttons to ensure that the weight of each action is communicated extensively to players.

Uncharted was a major pivot for Naughty Dog, and most people would agree that this change was a successful one that established the company as one of Sony's most valuable first-party developers. The Uncharted series may have ended its run, but players who missed out on the fun interactions and excellent shooting mechanics of these games should check out the Legacy of Thieves Collection.

There are many ways the game has been enhanced, with the graphics being a clear-cut example of the same. Along with this, the collection makes it a point to ensure that the PS5's adaptive triggers and haptic feedback are implemented to a T. Given how the bulk of the gameplay in the Uncharted games involves a ton of shooting, this simple integration will go a long way in ensuring that the gameplay is as invigorating as ever.

Came out as one of the highly popular indie titles on PS5, Kena: Bridge of Spirits delivered more than anyone may have expected from an indie studio, especially when it comes to using the new DualSense features.

The game's most iconic use of haptic feedback is when the player shoots an arrow. The stiffness in the right trigger makes the player really feel the strain of the bow just before releasing the arrow.

But that's not all. Kena: Bridge of Spirits also comes with unique navigational feedback. Whenever there is a collectible, DualSense begins vibrating, but it only vibrates on the side where the collectible is located. So, if it's on the player's left, the left side of the controller will gently vibrate.

While some people may argue whether The Last of Us Part 2 even needs a remaster, there's no denying that the addition of a 60 FPS mode was enough to sell the experience to most fans. This makes combat even snappier than before, making for a great time as players engage with one of the most engaging and visceral combat systems in a third-person shooter.

The PS5's adaptive triggers add weight to Ellie and Abby's actions, making every aspect of the game more engaging than ever. Given how shooting is a huge part of the gameplay, it's easy to see why shooting zombies and humans feels all the more immersive with the DualSense controller.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a great continuation of Peter and Miles' stories as Spider-Men, tackling many dangers along the way as new foes step into the picture. The improvement of the game's traversal and combat made this game a blast to play through, and switching between the Spider-Men is as seamless as can be.

The technical brilliance of this game makes things feel even better, with the adaptive triggers doing a great job of making every aspect of the game feel as immersive as can be. Feeling the tautness of the web Spider-Man is swinging on is a feeling that never gets boring no matter how many times players swing through the boroughs and districts of New York.

The work of Tango Gameworks is pretty unique, and Ghostwire: Tokyo is a great first-person open-world game with elements of the supernatural. While the game's visual design was a thing of beauty, most people felt that the game was slightly underwhelming in other areas.

The combat itself feels dated, but PS5 players will love how the DualSense controller elevates this aspect of the game. Battles feel satisfying when the DualSense gives proper feedback to the many moves players can pull off. Despite some of its faults, Ghostwire: Tokyo is one of the most impressive third-party titles around when it comes to showing off the true capabilities of the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.

Many feel Borderlands 3 dropped the ball. The game's writing was all over the place and didn't hit the right notes. Most players felt that the game lacked the spark that made the first two Borderlands games and the Pre-Sequel such a blast to play through. While the shooting and gameplay were tight in their way, Borderlands 3 didn't do a lot to change up the formula.

Regardless of the game's disappointing release, there's no denying that the integration of adaptive triggers and haptic feedback is truly impressive. Shooting guns feels more immersive than ever before along with a host of other actions that make the most of the DualSense's technology to great effect.
