A dedicated gamer dad has reached an impressive 518 hours in Tekken 7 by only playing Marshall Law. Tekken 7 is the latest entry in the long-running fighting game franchise, first released in arcades in 2015 before making its way to consoles a couple of years later.
Tekken 7 earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its release and has proven to be a big hit for Bandai Namco by becoming one the best-selling games in the entire franchise. Tekken 7 received substantial support long after its initial launch through DLC fighters and major updates that have given the game remarkable longevity. A new Tekken game is on the horizon, but it seems many fans will still be playing Tekken 7 for years to come.
One fan who has proven themselves to be especially dedicated to Tekken 7 is the father of TikTok user voodoovillain, who is said to have 518 hours in Tekken 7 while only playing the character Marshall Law. This is an impressive feat, to say the least, as it's safe to say most people would play as other members of the Tekken 7 roster instead of remaining completely dedicated to one character for over 500 hours. In a viral TikTok about his dad's incredible Tekken 7 playtime, voodoovillain said, "Nobody in the world is dedicated like my dad is dedicated to Tekken." The TikTok has over 1.5 million views and over 200,000 likes at the time of this writing.
It's unclear if voodoovillain's dad will be graduating to Tekken 8 whenever it releases, but one would have to imagine it's a possibility. After all, Tekken 8 is bringing back Marshall Law, who first made his debut in the original Tekken and has been featured in most main series games since then. Tekken 8 is currently without a release date at the time of this writing, but Bandai Namco has been slowly revealing the game's roster in the months since the game's announcement last year.
While Marshall Law has been featured in every main series Tekken game so far, it hasn't always been as a playable character. Marshall Law has been playable in the vast majority of Tekken games, with the exception being Tekken 3. But even though Marshall Law wasn't a playable member of Tekken 3's roster, he was at least featured in some of the game's cutscenes.
Tekken 7 is available in arcades, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
