It's been a big week for video game releases, with some of the year's most notable triple-a games starting to roll out. While there are still plenty more on the horizon, Cameron and Anthony are prepared to talk about the biggest new entry in the Pokemon series in this week's episode of Arcade. Plus, word on the street that another acquisition has been made.

In yet another industry shakeup, Sony has acquired Bungie. While the deal isn't quite on the same scales as Microsoft's Activision acquisition, it could still have some interesting ramifications. Notably, Bungie is promising to remain a multiplatform publisher, and Destiny 2 shouldn't be affected by the change.

In other news, Sony is planning 10 live service games by March 2026. That's a pretty big deal, though it's unclear what exactly the company means by live service. It's unlikely that Sony will try to publish 10 Destiny clones by then, but games like The Last of Us 2 Multiplayer could be an early indicator of what's to come.

In Nintendo news, the Switch has outsold the Wii. The change makes it the most popular Nintendo home console of all time, a high honor considering how impactful the Wii was for casual gamers. The Switch hasn't had the same cultural impact, but it's clear that it's a powerful force in the industry.

Finally, Ghostwire Tokyo revealed a gameplay deep dive, showing off combat, enemies, and more. While there are some critiques of the new footage, there's also some aspects worth praising. The city and monster design are particularly of note, though the game is just around the corner for those looking to fully explore it.
