The last week had the most explosive Nintendo Direct that fans have seen in a while, with some of the biggest announcements the company has made all year breaking during the 40-minute showcase. Fans got a look at upcoming games, new announcements, and some major additions being made to Nintendo Switch Online. Needless to say, Cameron and Anthony were pretty excited.

First things first, though, Xbox Game Pass might be at 30 million subscribers now, if Take-Two's CEO is to be believed. While Microsoft's last announced numbers were 18 million, it's possible that they've climbed in recent months. It would be a big indicator of where the games industry is headed if it's true, and it's particularly exciting for Microsoft's future.

Now for the heavy hitters. Bayonetta 3 finally showed off gameplay during the showcase, as well as revealing a release window of 2022. The game was first announced in 2017, so it's been a long time coming for the character's next appearance. Of course, fans still have a lot of questions about what it will entail, but it's good to finally get an update. A new Kirby game was also announced, called Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Perhaps the most exciting announcement of the show, Nintendo 64 games are coming to the Nintendo Switch Online service. The addition is going to cost fans a bit more, though Nintendo hasn't clarified just how much fans will have to cough up. However, N64 games are among some of the most requested, so it's a good thing to see.
