It's been an absolutely massive week for the games industry, as bombshell announcements broke alongside two of the biggest games of February dropping. With an entire week to catch up on, this week's episode of The Best War Games Arcade is one of the longest yet, though it's packed with information about upcoming games and more.

Kicking things off, Nintendo's February 2022 Direct had a host of announcements for Switch owners to gush over. While many of the new releases and reveals are angled toward JRPG fans, there's still tons for fans to enjoy packed into the 40-minute show even if they have other tastes. Unfortunately, it didn't include information about Breath of the Wild 2, as some fans were hoping it would.

Next up, Assassin's Creed is reportedly converting DLC to a full game to help pad out Ubisoft's light release schedule. The new game will reportedly follow Basim, a key figure in Valhalla, as he journeys in Baghdad. The game is said to have a smaller scale and be a stealth-focused experience, which hopefully means that it will be a return to the franchise's roots.

For Telltale fans, The Wolf Among Us 2 got its reveal trailer. The new game will mark Telltale's re-entry into the games industry following its resurrection. The game is set just six months after the original, with the trailer showing some of the characters that players will encounter along the way. Notably, The Wolf Among Us 2 seems to be a big technical improvement.

Finally, Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto 6 but didn't reveal much about it. Additionally, Destiny 2 has some major changes on the way, and Google Stadia is reportedly being depriortized.
