This year's big pop culture crossover game Funko Fusion is giving fans even more characters to choose from as painting and TV icon Bob Ross and the Chinese mythological hero Sun Wukong just released as DLC characters. The characters are part of a wave of new DLCs that have made their way to Funko Fusion, and while the Sun Wukong pack is a free download, Bob Ross will cost players $4.99.
Funko Fusion serves as a massive crossover between numerous pop culture icons, ranging from massive blockbuster franchises like Jurassic World to more niche IPs, such as the cult comedy film Hot Fuzz. Taking shape across a series of levels based on a variety of popular films, television shows, and video games, the game has seen comparisons to the likes of LEGO Star Wars, with each character stylized as their real-world Funko Pop figures.
Now, the roster of characters in Funko Fusion is getting even more diverse, as two new trailers confirmed the addition of the Chinese mythological hero Sun Wukong and the iconic painter and TV personality Bob Ross. Both characters are available for players to download now, with Sun Wukong being a free add-on, while the Bob Ross pack will set players back $4.99.
Bob Ross and Sun Wukong Make Their Way to Funko Fusion
Both packs will add the characters to the roster for players to use across the game's various levels and come with their own special move sets, with Bob Ross even having a few alternate bonus outfits for even more variety. While neither pack appears to include individual levels to coincide with the characters, they are fully playable in any of the numerous levels in Funko Fusion.
The characters are not the only things fans have to be excited about, either, as developer 10:10 Games also announced the upcoming addition of online co-op, though in a limited capacity. As it stands now, online multiplayer is set to arrive later on for the Jurassic World levels in Funko Fusion, though it may see broader implementation later down the line.
For those still hoping for their favorites to come to the game, or who simply want more, there are still several DLCs on the way for the game as well, bringing multiple new levels and characters with them. The game is also set to get a DLC based on The Office later this year, with another pack set to add new characters and alternate costumes from Invincible on November 15.
