For those unfamiliar with the game, Sifu was originally released in 2022 and proved to be one of the year's surprise hits. Combining intense beat 'em up combat with challenging roguelike mechanics, Sifu has a unique gimmick where death means coming back with stronger attacks but less health as the main character ages up. Sifu reviews were mostly positive at the time of its release, and it even found itself nominated for multiple awards, including Best Action Game, Best Independent Game, and Best Fighting game at The Game Awards 2022.
Sifu originated as a PlayStation console exclusive, and so many have been waiting for it to eventually make its way to PlayStation Plus.
