With the Epic Games Store free games, PC gamers know that they can log in every Thursday at 10:00am CST and snag a new batch of freebies. Steam free games are a bit more random, but there are some to claim on the platform every single month. The Epic Games Store free games this week are Ghostrunner 2, Monument Valley 2, and The Battle of Polytopia, adding up to be one of the platform's strongest weeks this year. While Battle of Polytopia earned mixed reviews when it first came out, Ghostrunner 2 and Monument Valley 2 were both well-received. Epic Games Store users have until September 18 at 10:00am CST to claim the current EGS free games. At that point, they will be swapped out and replaced with Project Winter and Samorost 2, which will be free from September 18 to September 25. Steam users, meanwhile, technically have a little more time to claim their free game this week. Puzzle Chambers is free on Steam until September 19 at 12:00pm CST. For those unfamiliar with the game, Puzzle Chambers is a 2D puzzle/mystery game. It was well-received by those that played it, and so it should be a solid freebie for fans of puzzle games. Unlike with the Epic Games Store, it's unclear when exactly another free game will be up for grabs on Steam, but the freebies come at a fairly regular pace.
