Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery is a puzzle game with an art style that is highly reminiscent of Studio Ghibli movies. Romopolis, meanwhile, is a city building game where players build their own Roman city. And finally, Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 1 is a fantasy RPG that has "Very Positive" reviews on Steam. The two free Microsoft games are only available for two more days, so PC gamers interested should be sure to grab them ASAP. Behind the Frame, meanwhile, is free on the Epic Games Store until Thursday, January 30, at which point it will be replaced by next week's freebie.
Free PC Games for January 2025
When the Epic Games Store is not hosting one of its free mystery game promotions, it always lets fans know what the next free game is going to be. On January 30, PC gamers will be able to claim zombie survival game Undying for free through the Epic Games Store. Like Behind the Frame, Undying will be free for a week before it is replaced, though it's anyone's guess as to what the replacement free game will be.
In the meantime, February 2025 will bring at least four free games through the Epic Games Store, though it's possible freebies will pop up in other areas as well. Free Steam games are available occasionally, plus GOG gives away freebies on a fairly regular basis as well. It's possible there will be more free games from Microsoft, too, but PC gamers will just have to wait and see what's in store.
