The end of 2021 has been massive for Xbox, with several triple-A games having been released on the platform. One of these high-profile games is Forza Horizon 5, a racing game set in the diverse regions of Mexico. Since the game was released on November 5, it has become one of the most successful titles on Xbox. Despite this success, the game has had its fair share of difficulties post-launch.

Besides addressing the problems plaguing Forza Horizon 5, the blog post detailed what multiplayer areas were being looked at by the game studio. Among the issues the developer aims to address are bugs causing players to disappear randomly from multiplayer modes. It specifically mentioned the problem occurring with Convoys and Horizon Arcade. Furthermore, improvements to matchmaking for the Horizon Open are coming, along with a fix for challenges in Eliminator.

In addition to these server and matchmaking difficulties, Playground Games touched on the topic of in-game cheaters. According to the developer, players have posted high scores on Leaderboards that are unobtainable, except when using cheats. Despite acknowledging that cheating will never go away, the company revealed that it intends to improve its defenses to prevent cheaters and hackers from ruining the gameplay experience for others.

The blog post also discussed changes inbound for the custom game creator known as EventLab. Based on information from the developer, a future update will allow players to save and edit content made in the creation tool. The reasoning behind these upcoming alterations to the feature is to allow gamers to save their work on projects and return to them later. “We know how difficult it is to craft the masterpieces many of you are known for in just one sitting,” the post explained. Furthermore, the developer noted that systems are being developed to prevent XP/credit AFK farms in EventLab.

It’s nice to know that the company appears committed to fixing these issues impacting the playability of the multiplayer for Forza Horizon 5. While exact dates for when these fixes will be implemented have yet to be revealed, the high priority of these issues suggests that fans won’t have to wait very long. Hopefully, Playground Games resolves many of these problems soon so those wanting to race with their friends can get back on the road.
