Forza Horizon 4 players will soon be unable to obtain 15 achievements due to the discontinuation of the game’s Festival Playlist. This is the latest change made by developer Playground Games’ decision to end its support for Forza Horizon 4, which will be delisted in December.

Forza Horizon 4 was originally released back in 2018, obtaining glowing reviews from critics, and being hailed as one of the best open-world sports games ever made. While most gamers are probably playing the newer Forza Horizon 5 instead of its predecessor by now, the end of the game’s Festival Playlist will be sad news for its loyal player base.

Playground Games has recently announced that Forza Horizon 4’s Series 77 Festival Playlist will be the last event of this kind to appear in the popular racing game. As spotted by True Achievements, the end of the Festival Playlists will make 15 achievements unobtainable for Xbox players. The final Festival Playlist runs from July 25 to August 22, and it will affect the following achievements: A Creature of Habit, Stunt Puller, #Forzathon Sweep, Cashing In, Perfectionist, Encore, Week Complete, Spring into Racing, A Summer in Pole Position, Autumn-mobiles, Winter is Running, Well Seasoned, Test Your Might, Overachiever, and Seasoned to Victory. Of these 15 achievements, the hardest one is Encore, which can only be obtained by completing all activities during the same festival.

2024 marks the last year that Forza Horizon 4 will be officially supported by Playground Games. Starting on December 15, Forza Horizon 4 will be delisted from major digital storefronts, making it impossible to purchase the game. The game will still be playable for people who already purchased it, though.

Last month, Xbox gave away free copies of Forza Horizon 4 to some Xbox Game Pass subscribers who purchased DLC for the title but do not own the base game. This way, they would continue to be able to play it after the title is delisted from stores and Xbox Game Pass.

While 2024 represents the end for the beloved Forza Horizon 4, fans are already speculating about a possible sequel for the franchise, considering that there’s usually a 2-3 year gap between new releases in the Forza Horizon series. Unfortunately, Forza Horizon 6 has not been officially announced by Playground Games yet, despite already being hinted at by job listings back in 2022. In this case, it’s a good time for gamers to return to Forza Horizon 4 this month, experimenting with what the classic open-world racing game has to offer.
