The Witch Broom is an important addition to Fortnite thanks to its escape potential as a traversal item, and with the terrors of Fortnitemares 2024, players might want to clear a spot in their loadout for the best way to escape a fight that isn't going their way.

Where to Find the Witch Broom in Fortnite

The Witch Broom may be of Mythic rarity, but players can still find it through random chance by opening chests around the Battle Royale island. Alternatively, there are some guaranteed ways to obtain the Witch Broom by spending Gold Bars with NPCs at these locations:

  • Purchased for 200 Gold from Edward Scissorhands at Grand Glacier
  • Purchased for 200 Gold from Peely Bone at Restored Reels

How to Use the Witch Broom in Fortnite

Launch into the air and cackle through the skies. Reactivate to cancel early.

A mythic weapon designed purely for traversal, the Witch Broom can be activated from the ground only, meaning players cannot use it to escape the claws of gravity. The Witch Broom is activated by having it equipped in the loadout and then pressing R2/RT/Left-Click. Sadly, the Witch Broom has a cooldown of 20 seconds before players can use it again.

The Witch Broom can be used to traverse through the air, reaching great heights to avoid enemy gunfire. Players will glide through the Battle Royale map with ease, allowing them to clear hundreds of meters before they land again. The Witch Broom can also be canceled mid-air with no fall damage by pressing R2/RT/Left-Click in the air.

It's nice to be able to get away from danger with the Witch Broom, and it's even nicer to earn 20,000 XP from the Fortnitemares 2024 quest that requires players to travel a distance in the air using the Witch Broom for 500 meters.
