Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 introduced players to Weapon Cases. Although there are already several ways to find weapons in the game, it's never a bad thing to get another way to collect high-rarity loot. Whenever there's a new season, it's not uncommon for some changes to occur, and that was the case with the location of Weapon Cases when Chapter 5 Season 4 launched.

This guide will tell players where they must go in order to find Weapon Cases in Fortnite Absolute Doom, as it makes it easier for them to find Rare- and Epic-rarity loot without resorting to RNG as much.

Weapon Case Locations

When Weapon Cases were first introduced back in December 2023, gamers could only access them if they defeated bosses and entered their high-security vaults; however, this all changed when Society Vaults were removed from the game. In Chapter 5 Season 4, players can find most Weapon Cases in Fortnite by exploring Weapon Bunkers on the Battle Royale map, and there are also three other specific locations with guaranteed Weapon Cases.

Bunkers open when the third Storm Circle is formed, but some of the bunkers' doors are locked up with a chain. So, even though there are nine bunker locations on the map, only six of them will be accessible during a Battle Royale match. To find out which Weapon Bunkers will open during a match, players must check their map to see which areas have Bunker Door marker over them.

There are four locations with accessible Weapon Cases right at the start of the game, and they're some of the best landing locations in Fortnite, as they guarantee high-rarity loot upon landing. So, besides the Weapon Bunkers, gamers can find Weapon Cases at Rebel's Roost, Reclaimed Villa, and Sandy Steppes.

How to Use Weapon Cases

Weapon Cases work just like any other container in Fortnite; gamers have to go up to it, and press and hold the interact button to get the weapon from the case. Gamers won't know the rarity of the weapon until they interact with the Weapon Case. Once they do, the item will fall to the ground, and players can decide if it's worth picking up and taking it.

Most containers in Fortnite are closed. However, Weapon Cases are open, meaning gamers can peek inside and see which weapon they will get if they loot the case. Weapon Case weapons can be Rare-, Epic-, or Legendary-rarity items, which is why they're extremely valuable at any point of the match.
