Joining the likes of Moon Knight, Black Widow, and Spider-Man himself, the Prowler can now be earned by Fortnite players who own the Chapter 3, Season 2 Battle Pass. Getting his skin in-game requires more than leveling up, however, as this week's new challenges have appeared that players must complete to get access to his full array of gear.

To earn the Fortnite Prowler skin and his built-in Emote, players must complete all of his challenges which can be accessed via the Quests tab in the Map menu. One quest reward is his complimentary “Mark of the Prowler” weapon skin, earned by headshotting three opponents with a thermal weapon; this guide will walk players through the quest, showing them where to find a thermal weapon to get the unique wrap.

Where to Find a Thermal Weapon

There is currently only one type of thermal weapon in Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 – the Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle. A weapon of Blue rarity and above, players are most likely to find them in chests, fishing spots, and, on occasion, as floor loot. This prized weapon can be quite difficult to come by, though there is one guaranteed drop on the map.

Huntmaster Saber is a boss who can be found at different locations across The Island. As a member of the Imagined Order, he helps lead the fight against the Seven and travels to wherever that fight may be.

This week, the Battle for Coney Crossroads is underway, meaning he can be found in the midsection of IO Airship there. As the season progresses and the battle moves, he will likely move. However, the Airship is swarming with IO guards, and taking down Saber is no easy feat.

Players should prioritize landing on the blimp first, grabbing weapons, shielding up, and dealing with any bothersome players before taking on the boss. Focus on killing the weaker IO Guards, clearing the Airship, and grabbing the unvaulted Jetpack. Head down to the lower levels to aggro Saber and start chipping away at his health - if playing in a group, have squadmates help out if they can.

Saber can teleport around the Airship, so players should try to lead him up to the blimp’s main floor as this offers the widest space to fight him. The key to taking him down is keeping distance; though somewhat inaccurate like most bots, his Mythic weapon can do some serious damage. Moreover, he has a short-range spin attack, which pulls in players and deals 40 damage. Having a Jetpack comes in handy, as the main area gives players plenty of space to fly away and make some distance before Saber can teleport again.

Beyond this, make sure to have enough ammo to kill him. There are a fair few ammo boxes and chests aboard the Airship for players to loot, but don’t be afraid to run away if the fight is too much. Saber cannot regenerate his health or shield, so players can always come back to finish him off.

When he dies, grab the Mythic Thermal Rifle from his corpse and start targeting heads. Luckily, Loopers don’t need to headshot real players for the challenge to pop - hitting the heads of IO bots on Airships or at Battle Sites will suffice.

Players lacking in bots who play in squads can also aim for the heads of downed players, who make much easier targets. After hitting three headshots, check the Quests tab, and one of the Prowler challenges should be complete.

Fortnite is currently available for Android, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
