Fortnite has teamed up with dozens of different known brands and franchises over the years. As the game went up in popularity, collabs became much more common, with increasingly bigger names. Fortnite has joined forces with Marvel, Nike, Polo Ralph Lauren, Street Fighter, God of War, Halo, and many others. From classic video games to clothing brands, the range of collaborations is quite extensive.
In the past year, Fortnite has hosted huge events related to popular anime series such as Dragon Ball, My Hero Academia, and Attack on Titan, and now it's time for it to team up with Jujutsu Kaisen. This article focuses on this collab, and it will mention all the details that have been revealed so far.
Jujutsu Kaisen Skins Release Date
On August 1, Epic Games released a teaser revealing the Jujutsu Kaisen skins that will be coming to Fortnite. The video description mentioned that players can expect these characters to join the Battle Royale once the v25.30 update goes live.
Fortnite updates tend to come out on Tuesdays, so gamers can expect the Jujutsu Kaisen skins to be released on August 8. Downtime usually starts around 4 AM ET, and servers should be back up a couple of hours later. This means that players will most likely be able to launch the game between 6 AM and 7 AM ET.
The Item Shop should refresh once the update drops, and it will then display a section with all the Jujutsu Kaisen cosmetic items.
How Many V-Bucks Will the Jujutsu Kaisen Skins Cost?
The trailer revealed four Jujutsu Kaisen characters that would be coming to Fortnite: Megumi Fushiguro, Satoru Gojo, Yuji Itadori, and Nobara Kugisaki. Players will be able to acquire these characters in the Fortnite Item Shop once the next update drops. However, it has not yet been revealed how many V-Bucks gamers will need in order to acquire these skins.
The Jujutsu Kaisen sorcerers will most likely cost between 2,000 V-Bucks and 1,500 V-Bucks. Skins released as part of previous anime collaborations have always been within this price range, but the actual price of each skin depends on additional cosmetic items that each one could include - some might have built-in emotes or alternative styles.
Since the Jujutsu Kaisen crossover event will bring at least four new skins to Fortnite, players can expect a bundle to be available in the Item Shop as well. Bundles are usually made available during these situations so that fans who want to purchase more than one cosmetic can get them at a discount price.
Fortnite is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
