Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 marks the debut of wasteland POIs, wacky new additions to the loot pool such as the Nitro Fists and Boom Bolts, along with an apocalyptic-themed Battle Pass for players to grind. This season offers many changes from the previous one, and while the additional items are neat, the main feature of Fortnite Wrecked has to be the overall upgrade to vehicles.

Fortnite Wrecked allows players to gain a boost of speed when they pass through a Flaming Boost Hoop. Here is where to find them!

Fortnite Wrecked kicks vehicular warfare into full gear with the debut of Vehicle Mods, allowing players to blitz around the map in style while launching a barrage of bullets and explosives toward other players. Though vehicles are pretty widespread across the island, and players can get their hands on buffed cars like Ringmaster Scarr's Lockjaw, gamers can also drive a War Bus. Here is how to take over the War Bus in Fortnite Wrecked!

How to Take Over A War Bus

The War Bus is a vehicle that patrols around the island of Fortnite Wrecked and does not spawn in a designated location.

A War Bus will often accompany both The Machinist and Megalo Don as they cruise around the map in their vehicles, both of which will have their Medallion icons shown on the map, making it easier to track them. The War Bus can also be encountered cruising around the island when both bosses remain at their POIs (Redline Rig and Brutal Beachhead). However, no icons detailing its whereabouts will appear in these instances, making tracking the War Bus rather difficult. Players should drive around the map in search of obnoxiously loud metal/rock music that the minions will blast from within the War Bus.

Once players have located the War Bus, they can take it over by eliminating the three Patrollers occupying it. The best approach to taking over this armored vehicle is to eliminate the driver first, before moving on to the two Patrollers that operate the vehicle's cannons. Once done so, players can then hop into the War Bus and use it for themselves.

How To Use A War Bus

Though the War Bus functions similarly to other vehicles in Fortnite, it has some unique properties. The first is its signature pair of cannons located on both the front and back ends of the bus, each firing explosive projectiles. The War Bus also features an EMP that can be activated by simply honking the horn (Aim button). This feature can disable other vehicles in the immediate vicinity, though it will go into a short cooldown before it can be used again.

Much like the three boss vehicles found around the map, the War Bus cannot be modified and instead comes with preset modifications. The mods on the War Bus are as follows:

  • Spiked Bumper: Deals increased damage to players and objects on impact.
  • Off Road Tires: Provides increased speed and handling off-road.
