Summary
- Fortnite Wallet Cards are coming in the future and let players buy in-game content with physical money.
- Cards range from $15 to $150. Funds connect to Epic accounts for safety.
- These cards are not limited to Fortnite purchases; they can be used for anything in the Epic Games Store.
Thanks to the upcoming Wallet Cards, players will soon be able to acquire any kind of additional content in Fortnite without the need for a credit card. Even though Fortnite is free-to-play, Epic Games has had great success with its sales over the years and has made billions of dollars simply by selling cosmetic packs and in-game currency. Some outfits have been controversial over the years, and some would argue that they provide competitive advantages, but ultimately, it does not have any pay-to-win offers.
Players can exchange V-Bucks for skins, accessories, and emotes. Each standard Battle Pass includes 200 free V-Bucks, but if they want to add more in-game currency to their account's balance, they have to buy them with real money. To get V-Bucks in Fortnite, players must purchase a V-Bucks card at a retailer or online with a credit card. However, there are special offers and bundles in the Item Shop that can only be purchased with money rather than in-game currency, meaning gamers can only get them if they use a credit card.

All that Fortnite fans and LEGO builders have to do is look for bare Klombo necessities.
Since credit cards are the only way to purchase real-money items in Fortnite, many players have never had the opportunity to get them. Epic Games wants to change this, and it seems that it might've come up with a solution: Wallet Cards. With Wallet Cards, fans can use physical money to purchase in-game items. Though they're not available yet, once they start popping up in stores, fans will have to be careful, as visually, Wallet Cards have a similar appearance to V-Bucks cards. However, they add money to players' Epic Games accounts rather than granting V-Bucks to their Fortnite accounts, so V-Bucks aren't depicted on them at all.
Epic Games Adding Way to Purchase Fortnite Content Without a Card
The image that HYPEX shared of the Wallet Cards suggests that their value will range between $15 and $150. While it is great to have the option to purchase items this way, there is a disadvantage. For example, if players want to get a Fortnite Starter Pack, which costs around $5, they won't save that much money since there are no Wallet Card options for less than $15. Thankfully, the remaining funds will be connected to their Epic Games account, where it's safe and sound.
Regardless of the game depicted on the card, it seems that players will be able to load their Epic account with money and purchase not only Fortnite bundles and packs, Save the World, and the Crew Pack now, but also use the money to acquire anything they want in the Epic Games Store. It is possible that this is just one of the various editions of Epic Games Wallet Cards, so more designs could be revealed; soon enough, players could be able to purchase Fall Guys Wallet Cards or Rocket League Wallet Cards. For now, no date has been confirmed for the upcoming Wallet Cards, but according to HYPEX, Epic Games has stated that they can be expected later this year in Fortnite.
