Fortnite Teases Return of Two OG Vehicles

According to a subtle post on social media, two OG vehicles might return to Fortnite once the island goes back in time next season. Although Chapter 4 Season 4 isn't even over yet, there is already a lot of hype surrounding the upcoming season, as it's been confirmed that the Chapter 1 Fortnite map will return. Fans have been asking the developers to bring back the original map ever since it was removed when Chapter 2 started. Now, after four years of waiting, gamers will finally be able to revisit their favorite locations on Athena island.

Even before Fortnite confirmed this theory, fans had already started speculating about what else would return. Recent leaks indicate that the current default skins will be used in the featured Battle Royale playlist image; this is usually meant for Battle Pass skins, so it's possible that the current default skins will be part of the Battle Pass and that classic default skins will be re-enabled. This only increased players' curiosity, as they started to wonder if they would only get access to the first Fortnite map or if they would also be able to get their hands on the original weapons and items.

It seems that a lot more than the map is returning to Fortnite. The official Fortnite Competitive Twitter account asked fans if they preferred the ATK or the Shopping Cart, some of the first vehicles available in the game. In Chapter 1, these vehicles would usually star in various viral Fortnite videos, so it's no surprise that many fans were excited about the possibility they would be able to use these iconic vehicles once again.

If the rumors surrounding the upcoming season turn out to be true, then it means that gamers will lose quite a lot of quality-of-life improvements made to Fortnite in the years since Chapter 1. According to the rumors, Fortnite players will no longer be able to mantle, sprint, or hurdle, and recently added features, such as grind rails and vines, will disappear entirely. Hopefully, the addition of these vehicles will provide a decent method to move around the map.

With the Chapter 4 Season 4 end date closer than ever, Fortnite will surely reveal major hints and drop tons of teasers. This is already customary when a new season is about to begin, but this time around, Epic Games will want to make sure that it gets the attention of not only current Fortnite fans, but lapsed fans who have nostalgia for Chapter 1.
