The community immediately concluded that this concept, which had been leaked back in 2021 alongside weapon mods, would be introduced with the release of Chapter 5 Season 3 on Friday, May 24.
Reliable dataminers leaked several mods expected to come to Fortnite when Chapter 2 was live. However, it took over two years for mods to finally be introduced to Fortnite, and when the time came, Epic Games decided to only add weapon modifications.
