Fortnite's second update of Chapter 6 Season 4 will seemingly no longer go live on Tuesday, September 9. When a new Fortnite season goes live, players have plenty of features to explore and keep them entertained for a few weeks. Over this time, they'll get to know all the new POIs, landmarks, weapons, and mechanics, and eventually start wishing for more content.

This Fortnite Shop Item Just Took a Frustrating Trend to New Heights

Chapter 6 Season 4 started on August 7, and the season's first update went live August 26, nearly three weeks later. Update v37.10 did not add much content for the Battle Royale game modes, such as BR, OG, and Reload. It was more focused on Ballistic and Fortnite Festival. The update also brought the Gorillaz to Fortnite; two members became available as skins in the Item Shop, and the other two were part of the Season 10 Fortnite Festival Music Pass.

Fortnite Appears to Have Delayed Update v37.20

Updates tend to come out every two weeks, but this was not the case with v37.10, probably due to the fact that it was the first update of the Fortnite season and Epic Games wanted to give players plenty of time to explore Chapter 6 Season 4 for the first time. Nevertheless, the next update was scheduled for September 9, two weeks after the first one. Unfortunately, it has now been delayed, as was made clear by the lack of information from the Fortnite Status account on Twitter.

It is unknown when the update will now become available, but the community believes and hopes that it won't be delayed for too many days, since the following patch is scheduled for September 16, only a few days after the supposed release of v37.20. However, it is possible that this could be a minor content patch and next week's a larger one, or vice versa. While little information is known about what was supposed to be added to Fortnite with this update, players were expecting to get the Kai Cenat skin on September 12.

The next patch is supposed to add the files for the Megazord skin, the secret skin in the Chapter 6 Season 4 Battle Pass, and that is also all that is known about it. Players were hoping that the highly anticipated companions feature would finally get added on Tuesday, but it is possible that Epic Games could release it with patch v37.30 instead. At the moment, there hasn't been much communication about what to expect from either update, so gamers will just have to wait and see once leaks start to come out once downtime begins following the update's new release date.
