The TIE Fighter is unforgettable, and a lot of fun to fly. With its loud engine, deadly turret fire, and fast speed, this vehicle becomes a must-have to locate and use in Fortnite's Star Wars season so that players can grab a victory royale from the skies.

Where to Get TIE Fighters in Fortnite

TIE Fighters are found exclusively within the Empire-controlled areas of the Battle Royale map, meaning that they can be found in the top right area by the First Order Base, and in the bottom left corner of the map inside Vader Samurai's Solitude. Both these POIs and the areas around them will have a TIE Fighter for players to hijack and fly for themselves, and they can even bring one friend along for the ride, who will sit on top of the single-pilot craft.

How to Fly TIE Fighters in Fortnite

Once players have found a TIE Fighter in Fortnite, they can enter it simply by using the interaction button like a regular car. The TIE Fighter is used just like the plane, except with less maneuverability in the air. Players can fly the TIE Fighter pretty fast and for pretty long, even with the use of boosting. Firing the lasers of the TIE Fighter will damage players on the ground for 60 points of health/shield per shot on target, and the TIE Fighter has 1,350 Durability before it shuts down and regenerates itself up to 3 times. After the 3rd time, the TIE Fighter will explode. Here's a list of controls for PS5/Xbox/PC players:

Throttle Up: Left-Stick Up / W
Throttle Down: Left-Stick Down / S
Land: R1 / Q
Boost: Circle / B / Left Shift
Fire: R2 / Left-Click
Free Look: L2 / Right-Click
Switch Seat: R3 / Left Ctrl
Exit: Square / X / E (Hold)

The TIE Fighter also has a few unique features, as noted by the HUD display once players enter the TIE Fighter itself. The interface on the left indicates the fuel of the TIE Fighter. The interface on the right indicates the speed of the TIE Fighter. The interface on the bottom left shows how many recharges the TIE Fighter has before it explodes.
