Fortnite: How To Get Thorne’s Vampiric Blade & Beat Kado…

The art of the blade returns to Fortnite with Chapter 4, Season 4. Although fans have long since known that there is a vampiric threat looming with Revenant Kado Thorne, players didn’t know that this was a time-traveling heist vampire, with threats definitely up his sleeve for the future, or past, of Fortnite still to come. Yet, players can at least deter him for a moment, and get themselves a great Mythic weapon to boot.

Swords and other melee weapons in Fortnite have often plagued the game thanks to their speed, efficiency, and ability to get players out of trouble. They can be seen as annoying, and a burden to Chapter 4. They have returned with the Fortnitemares 2023 update, and players get once again slash and dash with a sword with some unique perks.

Where To Get Thorne’s Vampiric Blade

If players want to get their hands on Thorne’s Vampiric Blade in Fortnite, then they are going to need to travel to Eclipse Estate, where they will find Revenant Kado Thorne, the vampiric leader of the Eclipse waiting inside the basement area. Players can travel inside, past the turret, and the now open vault door to find Kado Thorne in his vampire form, where they will then need to eliminate this boss to claim the sword that drops from his defeat.

How To Beat Revenant Kado Thorne

Revenant Kado Thorne was released with the Fortnitemares 2023 update and has provided a challenge for players who want to claim his sword for their own, to have a better chance of claiming the Victory Royale. Inside the boss room, players can find multiple pillars. These are great to hide behind whilst shooting Kado Thorne from cover.

When Kado Thorne’s chest glows red, players need to hide behind something, as he will drain the player’s health for his own, but only if he has a line of sight. Hiding behind one of these pillars will stop that. Quick firing and long-range weapons are advised for fighting Kado Thorne, due to his large health pool and close-range attacks. Players can't use Gold Bars to buy themselves out of this fight.

Here are some Kado Thorne stats that may help:

1,000 Shield
1,000 Health
Restores 50 Health on successful player drain
Can drain 4 times during one phase
Drain damages the player for 10 HP
Drain has a 20-second cooldown

Thorne’s Vampiric Blade Stats

Kado Thorne’s custom forged Kinetic Blade imbued with the ability to siphon health from enemies with each hit.

This Mythic sword harks back to the Kinetic blades that featured heavily in Fortnite’s previous Chapter 4 seasons. With Thorne’s Vampiric Blade, players can attack their enemies with the Knockback Slash with R2/RT, and combo them up to three times. With each direct hit, that health will be drained and placed into the player, meaning they can siphon health and keep themselves as alive as the immortal blood-sucking vampires that wield such a weapon.

Players can also hit L2/LT to activate a Dash Attack. This will send players forward, whether through the air or otherwise. During and after this attack, players won’t take fall damage, so they can use it for quick getaways. This can be used 3 times, with each time presenting a 20-second cooldown.
