In the biggest Epic Games x Disney collaboration so far, it has been announced that Star Wars fans will be able to watch the first two episodes of Tales of the Underworld in Fortnite before the show hits streaming services. Disney invested $1.5 billion in Epic Games at the start of 2024, so gamers knew that they could expect big projects between the two in the future. Epic and Disney had already become acquainted with one another before this, as is evident by the various Marvel and Star Wars collaborations that players have experienced in Fortnite throughout the years.
The first Fortnite and Disney collaboration took place during Chapter 1 Season 4 back in 2018 with the release of the Infinity Gauntlet LTM, which allowed gamers to play as Thanos or fight him collectively and attempt to take him down. Since then, several Marvel cosmetics, events, and quests have made it into the game. Besides Marvel, Star Wars is one of the biggest names to be featured the most in Fortnite. There have been several Star Wars mini-events in the past, and May the Fourth has also become a yearly tradition at this point.
Fortnite Leak Reveals Another Major Car Collaboration
A prominent Fortnite leaker surprises players by revealing that another major car collaboration could be coming to Epic Games' popular battle royale.
With May the Fourth just around the corner, players have been preparing themselves for the in-game celebrations coming to Fortnite, especially considering that Chapter 6 Season 3 will focus entirely on Star Wars - and it seems that's not all. Disney has decided to release the first two episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld on a special Watch Party island in Fortnite. Gamers will be able to watch the show in-game two days before it hits the Disney+ streaming service.
How to Watch the Premiere of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld in Fortnite
- Visit the Star Wars Watch Party map with island code 2124-6713-8076 on May 2 at 10 AM ET
From May 2 until May 11, players can enter the Star Wars Watch Party island and stream Tales of the Underworld for free. Fans can lie back and enjoy the show or head to the Battle Arena to grab an E-11 Blaster or a Lightsaber to fight hostiles. Thankfully, this is just for fun, and gamers don't have to worry about taking damage on the Star Wars Watch Party island.
Before heading to the watch party, players should make sure that they dress the part and claim the free First Order Stormtrooper skin in Fortnite. They can acquire it simply by connecting their Epic Games account to a MyDisney account. Players can do this by opening the account settings tab on the Epic Games website and selecting the Connect button below the MyDisney logo. Either way, they don't have to stress if they don't have time to do this before the watch party, as the offer will be available until August 31, 2025.
