Fortnite has released a third wave of Stranger Things skins, and while many will be excited to play as more iconic characters, fans of Max have been left disappointed. Stranger Things has been partnering with Fortnite ahead of the beloved series' highly-anticipated final season, but the Epic Games title has yet to add the whole character roster.
Stranger Things first premiered on Netflix in 2016, and since then, it has become a huge piece of pop culture. It's been a long three-year wait for Stranger Things' final season to arrive, but with its premiere set for November 26, the series is about to get its long-awaited conclusion. In that time, fans have become attached to their favorite characters, and while she hasn't been with the show from the beginning, Max Mayfield quickly became many fans' favorite when she was introduced in the second season. However, even though Fortnite continues to add content based around the series, Max remains absent.

Up until Monday morning, Fortnite will be a little easier, with Epic Games making a few temporary tweaks to the beloved battle royale.
Fortnite's Stranger Things Crossover Has Yet to Add Max
On November 21, Mike, Dustin, Will, Lucas, and Vecna were added to Fortnite, but fans quickly noticed that Max was nowhere to be seen. Max's absence has sparked discussion on Reddit and other social media platforms, with many hoping that she's added in a potential fourth wave. It's unclear if Fortnite has plans to release another wave of skins in the future, but if there are, a lot of players have voiced their desire for Max and several other characters to be added to the game.
In addition to Max, characters like Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, and Robin Buckley are missing, too. While cosmetics aren't necessary to play the game, Fortnite's many skins continue to reignite player interest, and even though the addition of Stranger Things' core four members and series villain Vecna are exciting, some fans are seeing the omission of characters like Max as a missed opportunity.

Only time will tell if Fortnite decides to release a fourth wave of skins, but with Stranger Things' season premiere only a few days away, Max might remain left out. Eddie Munson, Jonathan Byers, and Billy Hargrove haven't been featured in crossovers either, so there are still plenty of possible additions for Fortnite to consider in the future. As Fortnite's Chapter 7 and Stranger Things' final season draw closer, all fans can do is wait around and see if Max and other Stranger Things characters eventually become part of the battle royale.
