Details have surfaced regarding the South Park mythic allegedly coming to Fortnite, and it appears that it will completely change the Storm Circle. Fortnite has collaborated with several animated series over the past few years, from childhood classics, such as SpongeBob SquarePants, to anime, like Jujutsu Kaisen and Naruto, to adult cartoons, such as Family Guy and Bob's Burgers. These crossover events and collaborations have been a hit among the community, which only incentivizes Epic Games to keep going and bring more beloved characters to Fortnite.

This year, Epic brought The Simpsons to Fortnite for a themed mini-season, and it was one of the game's biggest crossover events of all time. The Simpsons created animated shorts with Fortnite characters, the Battle Royale island featured well-known locations from the show, the NPCs on the island were replaced with Simpsons characters, and the entire season was riddled with Easter eggs specially made for fans of the show. On top of this, the Simpsons Battle Pass featured beloved characters, such as Homer Simpson, Marge Simpson, and Ned Flanders. Players could also purchase other characters, like Bart Simpson and Krusty the Clown, in the Item Shop.

South Park Mythic Expected to Change Fortnite's Storm Circles

With the start of Chapter 7, players had to say goodbye to The Simpsons mini-season and welcome Fortnite Pacific Break. It doesn't mean that the cartoon crossover events have come to an end. In October, rumors surfaced, indicating that South Park could be coming to Fortnite soon, and that time might be closer than ever. Leakers have provided information on the Mythic item that is expected to enter the Fortnite loot pool once the collab goes live: the Stick of Truth, featured in the South Park video game series. According to Wensoing, a known leaker in the community, the Stick of Truth Mythic will be able to modify the storm.

The leaker's description is vague, but it seems like when players use the Stick of Truth in Fortnite, it will alter the current Storm Circle, which means it will either change its shape or its location. The storm is a crucial element in Fortnite Battle Royale, so it is clear how major it would be for players to find an item that allowed them to change it for all 100 players on the island.

It is likely that players will have to fight a boss in order to obtain the Stick of Truth, and it'll be the only one of these Mythics to be found on the map. Additionally, it's probable that it will be a one-use item only. If this were not the case, it would create very chaotic Storm Circles, as they would be changing constantly. This item would be particularly useful in the end game, as most of the island is covered by the storm by then, so changing it within a second could throw opponents off track, and their confusion could lead to them being eliminated by the storm.

When Is the Next Fortnite Update?

Since it seems to be a gimmicky item, it's likely that the Stick of Truth won't be available in Ranked game modes and tournaments, as it would considerably change the competitive scene if allowed. Regardless of the specifics, it will still be an overpowered Fortnite item to have in one's inventory, so Epic Games will have to make it a highly balanced item for it to work. It is unknown when players can expect the South Park collaboration to go live in Fortnite, as it was reported to be coming soon since October. The next Fortnite update is scheduled for January 9, so it is entirely possible that fans will have more news about this crossover by then.
