Fortnite has officially changed the time that The Simpsons mini-season ends in-game to November 29 at 2 PM ET, meaning some players might have to stay up late if they want to experience Chapter 7 as soon as it comes out. Chapter 6 Season 4 ended when Kang and Kodos appeared on the Battle Royale island during the "Welcome, Our Alien Overlords" event and accidentally brought Hope and Jones to Springfield. Then, a Simpsons Fortnite mini-season ensued on a completely different map.

Even though this is a much shorter BR season, a lot has happened since it began. Homer got hold of a Zero Point Shard and spread chaos all over Springfield. Since then, players have had to deal with lethal Donut Storms, contaminated water, mutant tomatoes, Homer Clones, and, most recently, the Incredible Bulk, who has appeared in the southern part of the island. Players who have missed out on the lore can catch up by watching The Simpsons Fortnite animated shorts or completing in-game Springfield Stories Quests.

Fortnite Delays End of Chapter 6 By 12 Hours

  • Chapter 6 end time: November 29 at 2 PM ET

It has been a fun season, but it is nearly time to leave it behind. The end of The Simpsons season was initially scheduled for November 29 at 2:30 AM ET. However, many players will be delighted to know that they have a few additional hours in Springfield. Epic Games has officially delayed the season's ending on the in-game Battle Pass tab; Chapter 6 is now scheduled to come to an end at 2 PM ET. Downtime should take longer since an entire new chapter will begin after, so even if there are no delays, players should only expect to be able to jump into Fortnite in the late evening or once night falls. In certain regions, such as Europe, players might have to head to bed and wait for the following day to try out Chapter 7 or stay online later than usual.

When the Zero Hour live event was announced for November 29 at 2 PM ET, many gamers thought that this meant it would only take place once downtime for Chapter 7 ended — as an opener for the new chapter. However, since it was being promoted as the chapter finale event, a delay makes a lot more sense. This event will wrap up the Chapter 6 storyline, which started with the launch of Chapter 5, nearly two years ago. The most recent part of the story, the appearance of the Incredible Bulk, is seemingly connected to the upcoming Zero Hour live event. It appears Hope and Jones will gather many Fortnite characters for the Zero Hour live event, as they must all join forces to defeat the Dark Presence.

The Zero Hour live event is shaping up to be one of the biggest live events in Fortnite history. Some players on social media fear that it could be some sort of Black Hole event and that they could go without Fortnite for a while. While the Black Hole event was interesting and memorable, players were shocked when Epic Games seemingly shut down the game. Thankfully, there is no need to worry, as Epic has confirmed the premiere of The Lost Chapter: Yuki's Revenge for November 30, meaning Fortnite will have to come back a few hours later for that to be possible. Downtime will begin once the event is over, and a few hours later, players can expect to log back in to Fortnite. Regardless of the details of the event, players should make the most of the extra hours that they've been given with the season to unlock the last rewards for the Battle Pass in Fortnite, namely the Homer Simpson skin and his Evil alternative style.
