As part of Fortnite's Season 8 festivities, Epic Games has recently added a new mythic weapon into the game that gives players the powers of both Venom and Carnage, two characters originally from the Marvel universe. For Fortnite players that are trying to get their hands on one of the new Symbiote Canisters, this guide will help folks out.
Like some of the rarer weapons in Fortnite, finding the Venom and Carnage mythic weapon is no easy task, and it will appear randomly around the map, but there is a method to ensure that players can get it before other players.
Where to Find Venom and Carnage Mythic Weapon in Fortnite Season 8
This new Fortnite mythic weapon will appear on the map if players open it up during a match, but not right at the beginning of the game. The Symbiote Canisters will only pop up once the first storm circle has appeared, which happens about a minute after everyone hops off the Battle Bus. So, players usually need to get lucky and hope they end up close to one of the canisters inside the storm circle. However, players should jump off the bus around the middle of the map once a match begins and then slowly hover in the air until the first circle appears.
Once the first circle does appear, players should immediately open up their map and closely look for small icons that resemble spiders. These are the locations of the canister that will give players the Venom/Carnage power. There are not too many on the map, so players should head to the area as fast as they can before other players show up to take it, too.
The canister will need to be interacted with before players can grab it, and once they do, the mythic weapon will be unlocked. Players can extend their arms to attack enemies or structures, but there is a cooldown of 10 seconds after each attack.
While the mythic weapon is powerful, the cooldown will ensure Fortnite players are not over-using the item's ability. Sometimes a balancing issue can lead to Epic Games removing a game feature for a short period of time so that the dev team can rework it to make things fair for everyone.
