While many weapons in Fortnite can be looted from the ground or found within Chests, the Jedi Padawan Lightsaber is a different story. To get the Jedi Padawan Lighsaber, players will have to visit a hologram of Rey, which spawns in random locations following the closing of the first storm circle.

Rey's location will be marked with a blue lightsaber icon on the map, and once players find her, they can speak to her to learn the Force Push and Force Jump abilities. Upon accepting her teachings, a short cutscene will play where players enter a rift, and upon exiting it, they will have a Jedi Padawan Lightsaber Mythic.

The Jedi Padawan Lightsaber is pretty much identical to all other lightsabers in Fortnite, dealing 40 damage per hit, while also granting the player increased sprint speed and the ability to double jump (Force Jump). However, the unique aspect of the Jedi Padawan Lightsaber is that players can make use of the Force Push ability. Here is a quick breakdown of how to use the Jedi Padawan Lightsaber:

Attack: Fire Button
Block: Aim Button (Hold)
Force Jump: Jump Button (While in the air)
Force Push: Fire Button (While blocking)

How To Use The Force Push Force Ability In Fortnite

The Force Push ability is a unique attack that players can perform with the Jedi Padawan Lightsaber upon acquiring it from Rey. To use it, players simply need to press the Shoot Button while blocking with the Lightsaber.

Doing so will release a shockwave in front of the player, knocking enemies back and destroying structures in the immediate vicinity. While the Force Push ability does not deal direct damage to players, those knocked from heights can take fall damage, making it an excellent strategy for displacing enemies in certain scenarios.

After each use, the Force Push ability enters a short cooldown. Furthermore, the ability is only accessible to those who learn it from Rey by speaking to her hologram. This means that, while players can loot the Jedi Padawan Lightsaber from defeated enemies, they cannot gain access to the Force Push ability this way.
