Gamers who are into this Fortnite holiday won't want to miss the Early Access Cup, also known as the Nightmare Cup. Here, they'll get a chance to gain access to a new Reload map (most likely Fortnitemares-themed) before it launches and The Dark Maw skin, which will undoubtely make an appearance in the featured section of the Item Shop during Fortnitemares.

How to Get The Dark Maw Skin for Free in Fortnite

Fortnite is giving players who participate in the Early Access Cup a chance to win a free skin and early access to an upcoming Reload map. Gamers will receive The Dark Maw skin for free and before it hits the Item Shop if they enter the Early Access Cup and are among the top players in their region.

The Early Access Cup will be live across all regions on October 3 and October 5, so players will have two opportunities to win these prizes. This is a duos tournament set in the Reload game mode, so players will have to find a teammate in order to participate. Here is how many gamers will receive The Dark Maw skin in each region:

Starting times will depend on the player's region, so they should check the in-game Compete tab to see exactly when the tournaments starts for them. The Early Access Cup competition will be live for two and a half hours, and during this time, players can enter a maximum of 10 matches.

When Does Early Access for the Reload Map Begin?

Once the results are in, the duos in the Top 25 percent of each region will be given special access to the upcoming Reload map. According to the official Competitive Fortnite page, players will receive early access to the Reload map on October 9 - most likely following the scheduled Fortnitemares update.
