How to Get the Sith Apprentice Lightsabers in Fortnite
Where to Find Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine in Fortnite
In order to obtain a red lightsaber, players must find Darth Sidious' Hologram on the Battle Royale map. Emperor Palpatine will spawn at random after the first storm circle, but his location will be marked on the map once players open it. Once players locate Darth Sidious through the red lightsaber symbol on the map, players will want to head to this location before other players, as the first one to accept Darth Sidious' teachings and enter into his portal will receive the Sith Apprentice Lightsaber.
The Sith Apprentice Lightsaber works the same as the other lightsabers in the fact that it can be used to attack players (40 damage), block blaster fire, and provide players with a Force Jump and dash ability. However, Palpatine's variant of the Sith Apprentice Lightsaber is the only version with the Force Lightning ability.
How to Use Force Lightning in Fortnite
Once players have the Sith Apprentice Lightsaber exclusively from Palpatine's Hologram, they will be able to use the lightsaber to unlock the Force Lightning ability. To use Force Lightning, players must wield the Sith Apprentice Lightsaber and hold Block (Right-Click/L2/LT) and then press Left-Click/R2/RT.
Force Lightning has decent range and hits for 30 points of damage for every second that it connects to a target. Force Lightning can also be used to deactivate TIE Fighters and X-Wings due to its electronic interference. After use, Force Lightning will have an 18-second cooldown before it can be used again.
