Fortnite has announced the details behind its latest event, Reboot Rally, including the various rewards available and how to sign other players up. The new event is designed to get active Fortnite players to reel in either completely new players or those who haven't played in a while with a red-hot set of cosmetics.
The Reboot Rally comes at the onset of Fortnite's chrome-filled Chapter 3 Season 4. The new season presents a new threat in the form of an all-consuming chrome liquid, drastically altering several POIs. With various new items and mechanics on the island, players want to recruit all the help they can get.
How to Sign Up for Reboot Rally
Detailed in a post on its official website, Fortnite's Reboot Rally is available to any combination of new/returning and active players but must include one new/returning. Fortnite defines an "active" player as someone who has played at least two hours in the 30 leading up to Chapter 3 Season 4, and a "new/returning" as someone who's played less than that during the same span. Active players can "rally" friends by sending them a QR code to join their party. Once the proper party is assembled, players may begin to complete Reboot Rally Quests and Bonus Goals together.
Players are able to party up with up to three or more friends (game mode allowing) and do not need to complete the quests with the same players. Those new and returning can actually play with any Fortnite player on their friends list, regardless of active or rally status, although rallying a friend earns extra points.
Fortnite Reboot Rally Quests
Fortnite's Reboot Rally Quests reward players with points, which can then be used to unlock a variety of cosmetics. The Reboot Rally Quests (and their point values) include:
- Complete one Daily Quest with an eligible friend (can be completed once per day): 10 points
- Complete three Daily Quests with an eligible friend (can be completed once per day): 20 points
- Complete six Daily Quests with an eligible friend (can be completed once per day): 30 points
- Complete a Battle Royale match with an eligible friend: 10 points
- Rally an eligible friend: 50 points
- Earn XP with an eligible friend in Battle Royale, Zero Build, Team Rumble, or Creative: 5 points
Fortnite Reboot Rally Rewards
After Fortnite players have begun completing the Reboot Rally Quests, they can spend their earned points on some fiery-themed cosmetics:
- 50 points: Barb-B-Q Emoticon
- 100 points: Freshly Forged Wrap
- 150 points: Red Hot Revenge Pickaxe
- 200 points: Fiery Descent Glider
Fortnite's Reboot Rally starts on September 19 at 9 AM ET and ends on October 3, 2022, at 9 AM ET. Squadmates can also assist players in completing some regular quests, like the ones from the new Chapter 3 Season 4 Battle Pass featuring Spider-Gwen, meaning getting friends together to dive into the new Fortnite season is probably a good idea.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
