How to Buy Reboot Cards in Fortnite

Players can purchase a Reboot Card for 500 Gold at any Reboot Van on the map. This can only be done if a player on the team has died and their Reboot Card has not been picked up, meaning that players can leave their Reboot Card and go straight to a Reboot Van to purchase their card for 500 Gold and avoid a potential fight for the card back where that player was eliminated.

Buying Reboot Cards is easily the safest way to bring players back from the dead, as some teams might camp where they eliminated a player, making it dangerous territory to venture into. Luckily, purchasing a Reboot Card is only going to cost 500 Gold, and that's a fairly reasonable price to bring a player back from the dead.

How to Get Reboot Cards in Fortnite

Outside of purchasing dropped Reboot Cards, players can still pick them up from the ground after their allies die. Reboot Cards are only available to real players in Duos, Trios, and Squads, and will not be available in Solo or to hired NPCs. Reboot Cards are dropped from eliminated players on your team, and they're a pickup item that players must run into to grab.

Reboot Cards are available for 265 seconds, giving players ample opportunity to find and collect their friends' Reboot Cards, which will be tagged both on the minimap and through the in-game HUD, showing them the exact locations of the cards.

How to Use Reboot Cards in Fortnite

To use a Reboot Card, players simply need to take it to any of the available and active Reboot Vans that can be found by accessing the map. These Reboot Vans are found via the blue symbol that appears on the map, and players just need to approach and interact with one of them. However, it's worth noting that it takes 10 seconds to activate the Reboot Van, but this process is sped up if there are more allies holding the interact button on the van.

Rebooting allies is extremely risky, as there is a visual audio cue that appears on players' screens who are within 100 meters of the Reboot Van, this makes rebooting a vulnerable thing to do as nearby players might approach to try and eliminate you while you are occupied with rebooting your friends. Even when the reboot is complete, a giant blue beam appears in the sky like a beacon to show other players where the reboot has just occurred.

Once the Reboot Card has been used, the revived player will be rifted back into the match, where they are free to glide either towards their allies or try to get some distance from them. Players will only spawn with a Common Pistol, so they are basically back to square one when it comes to looting and staying in the fight.
