A new week of quests has begun in Fortnite. With the arrival of Week 3, players have a fresh set of unique challenges to complete in exchange for large amounts of XP. The new week also introduces sets of new Omni Chip locations, with one of those sets found in Synapse Station.

Fortnite's Omni Chips are part of its Chapter 3, Season 2 Battle Pass. Their purpose is for the Omni Sword Pickaxe, which is completely customizable. Everything from the blade, guard, color, and even swinging sound effects can be changed to a player's liking, although the various styles must be unlocked via Omni Chips.

Synapse Station Omni Chip Locations

One of this week's Omni Chip locations is the southern POI of Synapse Station. New to the island this season, Synapse Station can be found as the southernmost POI on the map, in the desert region west of Chonker's Speedway.

  • Omni Chip 1 - The first Omni Chip at Synapse Station can be found on the bridge of the building on the lake in the northwest region of the area, sitting on top of a pipe.
  • Omni Chip 2 - The second Omni Chip location is within line of sight after players grab the first one. Head northeast to the nearby building, where the next Omni Chip will be waiting on the second-floor balcony.
  • Omni Chip 3 - The third and final Synapse Station Omni Chip location is in the northern entrance of the POI's main building, where The Scientist is repairing an Armored Battle Bus.

Once players have collected all three of the Omni Chips, they can then head to Sanctuary and Camp Cuddle, the other two Omni Chip locations for Week 3. However, if players aren't caught up on collecting, it's highly advisable to head to the east, as the adjacent Chonker's Speedway has Omni Chips from Week 2.

In addition to adding new Omni Chip locations this week, Fortnite has added a major battle event at The Daily Bugle. As part of the game's latest update patch, players must fight to take back the location from the IO, fighting back three waves of the enemy AI.

Players aren't alone, however, with the Resistance's Seven Sentries spawning in for backup. The update also unvaults a reworked version of the Heavy Sniper Rifle, and balances a handful of other weapons.

With so much happening in just the first few weeks, it should be exciting to see what the rest of the Fortnite season has in store.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
