The latest Fortnite OG update has brought back The Baller vehicle, Drum Shotgun, and more. With Fortnite in the midst of Chapter 4, Epic Games has brought back many of the best items ever featured in the game with a season focused on the very first set of seasons.
Gamers have flocked back to Fortnite with the OG season. Ever since the release of Chapter 2, a portion of the game's player base has wanted to return to the original map with the old item rotation. While OG is skipping through Chapter 1 seasons throughout what would be Chapter 4 Season 5, players can get a taste of the way the game used to be. Perhaps due to the longstanding demand for the return of the Chapter 1 map, OG has brought Fortnite to a massive new player count record. With The Baller vehicle and other items returning to the game this season, the community may grow even more before OG is over.
LEGO Teases Fortnite Crossover Event
The LEGO Group teases a potential Fortnite crossover with a post of familiar animal that has been designed entirely out of LEGO bricks.
Fortnite Leaker HypeX recently shared what has been vaulted and unvaulted as part of the latest update. The new patch focuses on Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 9 and X. While a majority of the items included in the content drop revolve around Season X, The Baller and Drone POIs were added to give Season 9 fans some attention too. Some other fan favorite items returning to the item rotation include the Jetpack, Air Strikes, and Drum Shotgun. Though they were only around for a brief period of time, Quad Crashers, Balloons, and the Glider item have all been vaulted which reduces the number of mobility items in the battle royale.
Since it was added to Fortnite, The Baller has allowed players to grapple onto nearby objects and pull themselves toward or swing around them for a speed boost. This season isn't the only time The Baller has been unvaulted, as it was prominently featured in Chapter 3 Season 3. As part of this update, a roller coaster was also made around a POI that included the vehicle. The return of Chapter 1 items and locations is set to conclude with the end of OG. Culminating with the end of the latest season, a live Fortnite event featuring Eminem is set to take place on December 2.
Though Fortnite OG is set to end on December 2, its popularity may inspire Epic Games to do another nostalgic season. Because each OG update vaults and unvaults items and alters the map, some players may have already lost their favorite rotations.
