Fortnite has made a big adjustment to the storm in the OG mode, reducing the wait time for the first circles. Fortnite OG is a mode that is all about nostalgia, taking Fortnite players on a trip down memory lane as they recall past seasons.

Fortnite OG Season 4 kicked off on June 7 and revisits the story of The Visitor, the first member of the Seven to appear in the original run of Chapter 1 Season 4. One of the highlights is the return of two familiar POIs - Dusty Divot and Risky Reels - and a loot pool featuring classic items such as mushrooms, jetpacks, and dual pistols. Additionally, Epic Games has introduced a new OP pass inspired by Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 4, with new cosmetics up for grabs. This time, a new change for Fortnite OG has been revealed, and it will have a direct impact on how the game mode works.

In a Twitter post, respected Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey revealed that storm wait times in OG mode have been made shorter. According to them, players must now wait 50 seconds for the first storm to start shrinking, with storms 2, 3, and 4 having new wait times of 40, 45, and 40 seconds, respectively. In addition to revealing this adjustment that Epic made to Fortnite's OG mode, they say that previously these intervals were 90, 60, 75, and 60 seconds.

Fortnite Reduces Waiting Times for the First Four Storm Circles

Responses to the tweet posted by iFireMonkey showed a positive reception to the adjustment. They also revealed what the next change they want is — the reversal of the system from 12 storms circles to nine. The storm is one of the most iconic aspects of the game, being partly responsible for defeat or victory in Fortnite. After all, as the match progresses, players have less and less space to hide as the size of the storm becomes smaller.

The fourth Fortnite OG season comes to an end on August 7, but before that, Epic Games will bring another key moment – Blast Off. Scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 26, this live event will relive the day of the rocket launch that caused the appearance of the Crack, leading to a series of events that lasted until Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 6. One of the most notable was the disappearance of Durr Burger, which eventually reappeared outside Pleasant Park at the beginning of Season 5 of the battle royale.
