- The Grapple Glove has already returned in Season OG, with the Anarchy Agent NPC appearing nearby. More character and item combos are set to return each week until the end of the season.
- While some fans are excited about the map rotation and increased mobility, others believe that the original Fortnite item pool should not be tampered with, as Season OG is meant to invoke nostalgia.
Following a recent update, it is clear that Fortnite will gradually bring Chapter 4 characters and mobility items to Season OG. Chapter 4 Season 4 came to an end suddenly when the time machine brought the entire player base back to the start of Chapter 1 Season 5. Until December 2, fans will be able to experience Fortnite Season OG and play through the various seasons that belonged to this first chapter of the game.
It is uncertain what will happen to Fortnite once Season OG comes to an end. According to rumors that surrounded the community in May, gamers wouldn't have to wait much for the next chapter to begin. Back then, dataminers indicated that each chapter would only last four seasons and Fortnite Chapter 5 would start near the end of the year. At first, it seemed that this would be an unlikely assumption unless the seasons were oddly long, but when Season OG was announced and it was revealed that it would only last one month, it became apparent that this would very likely be the case.
Fortnite Smashes Player Count Record
Following the launch of Fortnite OG last week, the game impressively smashes through its previous player count and hours played milestones.
As leakers continue to pry into the game files and study what could occur in the near future, more information continues to surface. According to iFireMonkey, several Chapter 4 items will gradually be added to Season OG, and this is how the past (Chapter 1) and the present (Chapter 4) will come together once more. With the Season 6 update made to Season OG on November 9, Fortnite players will now be able to witness random rift encounters. This brought the Grapple Glove, the first gadget from the Chapter 4 item pool, to the previously untouched OG Season.
Gamers can only acquire the Grapple Glove in Fortnite Season OG if they happen to come across this rift encounter. On top of this, the Anarchy Agent NPC will also appear nearby. It seems that this won't be the only interesting comeback this season, as leakers hint at the return of a new character and item combo each week until the end of Season OG. Players can expect Scrapknight Jules and the Dirtbike next, then Stray and the Kinetic Blade, and lastly, Surrr Burger and the infamous Shockwave Hammer.
All of the items being added back are great in terms of map rotation, and while some fans are glad to see more mobility in Fortnite's Chapter 1 map, not everyone is pleased about this. Some members of the community immediately voiced their opinions and expressed that Epic Games should not be tampering with the original Fortnite item pool, as they believe this is a season that is supposed to invoke the nostalgia of simpler times, so it shouldn't be mixed with Chapter 4 lore shenanigans.
